Very helpful staff from the moment I arrived. As a hill walker all I want is good clean and comfortable accommodation to return to each day which I got. Breakfasts were excellent, a good start to a day in the hills.
Wills and Pauline are very friendly people (good hosts)who want to ensure the stay is as pleasant as possible and as for the location well it is right in the centre of Windermere where else do you want to be. Enjoyed my stay, many thanks. all reviews »
Hosts, Wills & Pauline were very friendly, meet & greet as well as discussions at different times, it was almost like being with friends.
Room 9 was clean with a lovely view to the west.
Bathroom was well sized, clean with modern fittings.
Breakfast was plentiful, good homestyle cooking.
Hope to come back again.
beautiful central location. Great freshly cooked breakfasts every morning. The owner Wills was both friendly and helpful, offering some great tips about what to do in the area. We'd highly recommend Rayrigg Villa to anybody staying in Windermere and will definitely stay there again (Great) kevin&jane Hopkins.
Brilliant service, Wills (the owner) was a fantastic host and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, the cooked breakfast was superb, central location in Windermere and the rooms were spotless, very comfy beds, all in all, had a wonderful time.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and keen to give you information on the area around their house in the Lake District. The breakfast was very good. The house was very centrally located in Windermere and its amenities. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Wills and Pauline were just so helpful, warm and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Venue is so central. Would really have loved to have a 'cocktail' afternoon with them. We would definitely stay here again - a winner!.

Very friendly hosts and centrally placed hotel within shops and restaurants and cafe bars. Plenty of car parking space and lovely bedroom surroundings. Would highly recommend it to other guests.

Hospitality of staff.
breakfast is good.
Owners work hard and very friendly.
friendly staff informative
hot cooked breakfast
good location.
Car parking is very limited due to size of space but Wills will always accommodate to ensure your car is safe.
Nothing really to dislike. Being picky some of the drawers could do with a fix up but thats all.
Nothing not to like.
Décor was slightly dated and not to my tastes but not a major issue.
Whereas the 2nd floor Superior Double room was very nice and comfortable, the bathroom was very, very small and in need of attention. A pity it could not have been made bigger and better so that it complimented the bedroom. Because of this I do not think that this room can be classed as 'Superior' .
the house is not suitable for big family or people who want to be together and not suitable for those who get used to luxury spacious 5 star hotel. the hotel is a clean remodelled old countryside british house.
Nothing we didnt like.
Not being able to stay a little longer due having to go back to work!.
Very little not to like! Shower room in one of our rooms was snug, but the rest made up for it!.
only niggle was the bathroom fittings were all loose, probly due to stone walls and ware n taire. only a niggle tho!.
Very small shower room and poor stream of shower.
Double bed too springy
Shower/WC tiny.
Not especially good value.
rushed for breakfast
small bedroom
bathroom tiles mouldy needs refreshing
overgrown vegetation at front of house
overpriced for standard of room.
furniture falling to bits cold.
