The whole experience was fantastic. Facilities, spa, hotel room, food and staff all excellent. Our special requests pre booking were also done without any reminders to the hotel staff. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were immediately offered a room upgrade which was fantastic as we had got a special rate already. The comfort and cleanliness of the room was perfect and at a very high standard.

I liked the location of the hotel.A little pricey for drinks and food, (as is most of the pubs and restaurants in Jersey) but it was a special treat for valentines, so we expected to pay more for such a lovely experience. Views from rooms not picturesque, but we wanted to be located town centre, so was to be expected. one small thing we thought that there could be some more sun beds by the small outside pool. The sinks in the bathrooms are too low and the taps splash water if you are not careful. Rooms slightly on the small side.Minor point: not good light in bathroom for make up. Essential for older females! Otherwise, first class. Small CD/DVD selection.We could not get back into our hotel after hours and stood in the cold for a half an hour before we could get in. The nightwatch man was also not very friendly having left us standing out there. stayed there twice and did not get free glass of champagane on arrival either time. I would have booked a different hotel with a gym if i had realised this hotel didn't have one. Also a wider DVD selection or pay movies would be good for when the weather isn't so hot. the sink in the bathroom in the room - water took a long time to go down and when it did it left a scum all over the sink - not pleasant. We asked about car hire and were given a very expensive quote. Only after visiting the car hire firm did we find out that there was a cheaper deal with all the hotels (including the one we were staying at). I think the hotel should have advised us about this when we enquired in the first place. the value for money e.g the food prices was too over priced. we found some broken gass on the floor of our room, and they charged us for a meal we did not have!. Unable to access spa facilites. Towels disappointingly abrasive for a hotel of this standard. I did not get my glass of champagne on arrival as promised on the website. very small room considering how much we spent on extras ie a £300 + meal for 2 at the restaurant bill (which food was was fantastic) but no appreciation or recognition given in terms of a potential room upgrade or something 'extra'.Busy road noisy during day, room not large, poor lighting in bathroom. There were a few things that were not good and displayed a lack of attention to detail, the bedside light did not work, mini bar not replenished , mirror in bathroom was almost falling off the wall, oh and a shelf inside a cupboard collapsed causing damage to some pottery we had purchased. Broken hairdryer in the room and steam power shower not working.Overpriced for size of room which was particularly dissapoiting - viewonly of car park. Limited access to indoor swimming pool, should be made more apparent that the pool access is very limited ie families bookings. I didn't like the entrance to the carpark as it was very narrow.I also didn't like the fact that there were restrictions on when you could use the pool.
