This lovely little guest house is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the friendly and helpful staff to the quality of the furnishings and even the detail of the furnishings, right down to the location. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was spot on! We were a 2 minute walk from friendly pubs and bars and a 6 minute walk from Penrith train station which took us 15 minutes into Carlisle for more shopping and bars. Definitely a. all reviews »
My wife and I stayed a few nights at The Ashberry Guest House. it is ideally located for both Penrith town centre and the North Lakes, northern M6 area. The owners are very helpful but not overbearing. The guest house itself is very modern, clean and comfortable. And the full English breakfast was very nice. Overall a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful night at Ashberry Guest House. The three ladies were cheery and helpful. Rooms and hallways are spacious and furnishings attractive. Breakfast was yummy with perfect soft poached eggs. I would definitely recommend the guest house as an alternative to staying in the Lake District that is a short drive away.
Everything - the owner was extremely kind and helpful and he always was doing his best to please the guests. I liked the design of the interiors and traditional look of exterior of this new building. Choice of breakfast options and quality of dishes was superb. It is how the guesthouse should look like.

The room had excellent facilities.It was warm - given the chilly spring weather -and beds comfortable. The breakfast was very good - lots of choice. Good internet facilities. Convenient location both for central Penrith by foot and easy access from M6 by car. Helpful owner.
ashberry guest house lovely inside and out. welcomed at the door and shown up to the room which had everything you could need. nothing too much trouble, you only had to ask, and lovely breakfast. would definitely recommend and if up in penrith again, would be staying again.
Excellent B&B, very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Very clean and well equipped, very high standard. Within walking distance of town with a good selection of places to eat. Easy to get to from M6, good parking and great location for the lakes.
We were in room number 1 with a lovely comfy double bed. Our room was very nice and immaculately clean and cosy .. Lovely shower area and just couldn't fault our stay.

Big issue for me was something which cannot be changed- a piercing green light over the inside bedroom door to indicate fire escape. It flooded the room with strong green light and shone directly into my eyes.
