The view from the bedroom window, the welcome I received, the willingness to adjust breakfast. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Oban. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help you. If you enjoy a big breakfast, then you'll not be disappointed.I have seen bad reviews from other people, but it just shows how picky a lot of people are.Clean, comfortable room. Wonderfully convenient for train station, buses and ferries. Lovelyviews from lounge, dining room and some bedrooms. Staff friendly andvery nicely cooked breakfasts.the breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Room with a sea view. The view from the room. location was the only plus point. Having to leave!!!. The only downside is that there is no free parking anywhere nearby. However, there are a couple of longer stay car parks along at the North Pier (2-3 min walk away) or at the train station (2 min walk away). So many stairs, though that was made clear in the information.lack of bar. Windows above the doors let in light from the corridor throughoutthe night!. The entrance hall smelled of vomit.Although the rooms had recently been decorated, the bathroon floor was dirty, and the bed coverings were not clean. extremely dirty window. Shabby, no lifts too pricey. Very noisy people staying in the hotel but were moved when we complained. dreadful. the smell of cheap air freshener as you walked through the front door was indicative of the entire experience. disgusting carpets - sticky when walking barefoot on them eugh - and decor throughout, needs a complete gutting and starting again. It was so bad that when the shower didnt work (either stone cold or boiling hot), there was absolutely no point in complaining, it was what it was.

The dining room overlooks Oban bay and is the perfect place to relax. If you plan to visit the islands during your stay, we will provide a full cooked breakfast at 7.00am to allow you to catch the early boat if you wish.

Travelling information
The hotel is situated on Oban's main street which is the main road from Glasgow, Perth etc. There are two sets of traffic lights on George Street, the door to the hotel is just before the second set, next to the Royal Bank of Scotland. No residential Parking available. For customers arriving by bus, train or ferry, please walk along the water front with the water to your left. The hotel is opposite the bay located between the railway and north piers approximately 2 minutes walk from the stations.
