The rooms were lovely it was a present for my wedding aniversary i normal stay at the trethorne hotel but as mark and emily are not there they booked us in to this hotel i would stay again at this hotel the breakfast was fab i would say the best hotel along mount wise for sure. we really enjoyed our stay, thought the staff and customers were very friendly and welcoming, room was ideal for the two of us, plenty of breakfast and evenings were great. Newquay was a five minute walk from the hotel and another five to the beach.

Inadaquate sound insulation between rooms.Be a large chap i found the shower a little bit small but usable. There is nothing that I did not like about the hotel.Think that the price increase five days apart was to much!. hotel bar tariff a little expensive for hotel guest. The water pressure was really low when taking a shower. Inadequate parking. There was no iron in the room and the television was older than me with no remote control. Breakfast was only open for half an hour so no lay ins!!!!. was value. Room was very small, bathroom even smaller. Even the breakfast wassmall; although it was good food. Cheap hotel at £30 each per night butin terms of value for money? Could have got somewhere alot bigger andbetter for the same amount of money. Price of the hotel didn't reflect the accomodation. Problems with shower, but not major. plastic garden chairs in room and poor shower. The room was very small and the shower was very tempramental it was either too hot or too cold. The breakfast was very disappointing we had eggs on toast and they were very cold and we could not eat it. Breakfast at the hotel is at 8:45am on the dot, this was not very good as when away I like to be out and about by 9am!. the decor needs doing and change the carpet in our bedroom needed replacing they put patches in the carpet which someone could have tripped over. Breakfast could be better. TV wasn't tuned to have all channels available. Had to tune it myself. The bed materace was a bit uncomfortable.hard bed. The bedroom was a single classed as a double, it had a single wardrobe, the chest of drawers could not be opened as it was only ten inches from the foot of the bed, you had to climb over the bed to get from one side of the room to the other, no air conditioning, maids did not change the towels we had to keep asking for clean towels and one day they did not even empty the bins or make the bed.The bed was uncomfortable. Regimented - no other time for breakfast 08.45 only. If you paid by credit card a 3.5% charge added, not mentioned in the booking details. Hotel entertaintment programme dreadful.Inflexible breakfast 845 only - everyone came down at same time- chaos. ALmost every room occupied by coach party kept us all awake until early hours of morning. The bed was awful, the room smelt, the shower didnt work properly, the breakfast was terrible, there was a security light right outside our window that stayed on all night, there were not enough parking spaces.It was dated, small, shabby and I didn't want to sleep there. For the price of the room, I was shocked at the state of the hotel. shabby,tiny rooms,poor shower,poor beds,did not cater for anyone else but the elderly. 1 - Poor cleanliness of the room. 2 - General poor cleanliness. overpriced bed and breakfast not a hotel rooms tiny and dirty.

- Continue till end of road and turn left onto Mount Wise, where you will find the hotel.

From Exeter:
