Gateshead MetroCentre is only a 20-minute drive and is the largest shopping centre in Europe. St James' Park football ground is only a 10-minute drive.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Although our room was above the bar and one of the beer gardens we were not disturbed by any noise. The Inn has two beautiful beer gardens and the kids enjoyed running around these. The place had a very casual and relaxed vibe which suited us. loved the friendly atmosphere, cheap and cheerful, beautiful gardens, amazing owls, so huge!. Within reasonable distance to town. Overall, made to fell very welcome. :).
all reviews » Very warm welcome, staff were genuinely interested in our plans and keen to help us have the best stay possible. Room was comfortable and perfect for our group of 5. lovely friendly staff, family atmosphere in the pub. really fresh smelling clean sheets (didnt want to get out of bed), close to city. nice looking room. The hospitality was excellent and the staff made me feel very welcome. They were extremely helpful which made my trip a lot easier. Friendly & clean, good value ,excellent breakfast,soft towels,warm room on a freezing day.my 2nd stay there would recommend. Friendly staff, cheap bar, comfy beds, great value for money. About £10 in a taxi to town. friendly staff and owner very helpful, Central for many facilities in Newcastle. Staff and customers were very friendly. Good food and value for money. Courtesy of the Guest guesthouse manager. Felt at home as soon as we got there. Close to job. Very comfortable room with a nice en-suite shower room. Sound for stag and hens. the location. Cold beans, undercooked bacon :(. dent in the bed (hurt my back), shower door broken. No complaints. Nothing. Rooms could do with refurb. Breakfast is not good!!! Cold and cheap products. Room was cold, heating did not work, no hot water to wash or shower, room was thick with dust, main light not working I did ask for this to be fixed and was told it would be but was not, very strong draught from windows. No apology offered by staff when I complained about all of the above. No breakfast as the girl could not find a key to open the door, very short staffed in the evening one person serving drinks, booking people in and cooking food like fawlty towers but less staff. Was told we could book in at 2pm. Was there at 3 30pm an was told our wasant done. Bed got changed at 5. The whole needed cleaned an the bathroom was filthy there was even feces in the loo. Was told breakfast ended at 9 30am got down just after 9 an told it had ended at 9. Your b&b cane highly recommend and the reviews excellent. Don't no what happened but won't b staying again. no hot water or heating on arrival. light switches looked like they had never bin wiped clean mould all round shower . Breakfast was cooked fresh and the beans where stone cold would not stop again.
