Staff were friendly, helpful and always on hand.They seemed to be "multitasking", and coped with all their duties really efficiently. the bar food - salmon teryaki was excellent!. Friendly staff. the friendliness and commitment from the staff and the room was beautiful and luxurious. The relaxed atmosphere. The pleasant manner of all staff encountered.
all reviews » Very friendlt staff and very helpful. Convenient for the town. Very friendly manager. Nothing was too much trouble for manager and staff. We had requested aroom at the back of the hotel - High Street location. The room, thoughsmall, was refurbished and spotlessly clean. (Nb somewhat difficult toget to with the pram due to the stairs). We had an excellent stay!Breakfast to be recommended! Babyfood warmed up any hour of the day ornight and service with a smile. Wij komen terug!. Second visit. Comfortable, refurbished room, excellent position in centre of town. No problems except external noise if you have a room at the front.location, private car park, comfortable and clean rooms, friendley nature of all staff. Central position with own car park; friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant room, with a comfy bed. Conveneience comfort and good food. Arrived late in the evening but there was plenty of free parking available at the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient booking in was quick and painless. The room was clean, attractive and the beds were extremely comfortable with extra pillows available in the room. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and spares in the wardrobe plus hot water was always available. I will return to this hotel. The food was excellent....the room was very comfortable but sound travels if above carpark. Didn't realise we had free access to a local gym/spa so take your cozzy! I would deffinately go again.The Valentines package was fabulous!!!!. Staff were knowledgable of the local area. Room was better thab Iexpected. Location, size of the room, Superb staff. We had to negotiate two small flights of stairs on first floor to get to our room; could be a problem for the elderly etc. The dinner menu was uninspiring so we chose to go out to eat in the evening.Being woken up at 6:45 by the bin men. Woken by noise from party in the hotel during the night. Our room overlooked the courtyard where there was a noisy group of people until 3 in the morning - had they been confined to the bar inside the hotel we would not have been disturbed. had to wait for food to be cooked during breakfast. Far to noisy at 1:30 am monday with drunks. orange juice could be nicer, long trek to room from reception, lack of trouser press. lightbulb blown in room, room service salad with avocado so unripe I couldn't get a fork into it. Very noisy - sounds of bottles lots of times through the night - strange. Had to actually ask for a parking token to get out of car park. Lack of decent smoking facilities, you had two or three heaters in the courtyard but they were never turned on. And the room was very small, as was the double bed.During breakfast, the waiter did not write down the guest's order for main course and the result was to get the order wrong for some guests. Maybe he is trying his best to enhance his team building skills. Bedroom curtains did not meet in the middle, when closed. Early morning sunlight woke us too early.couldnt drain bath, wireless network kep failing. The room was extremely hot. Even with the widows wide open there was little relief. You could feel the trapped heat in the corridor outside the rooms. With windows open we got the noise from the local disco until three in the morning and then the noise of people leaving, police sirens etc. We had little sleep during our two night stay.Corridors not well lit, unable to see door to unlock. The windows did not seal properly, There is a night club just over the road so on the Mon and Tue that we stayed there were a huge amount of noise/shouting/bottles being smashed between 11.30pm and 4am, trip from hell for us so never again.2 of the evening staff were particularly rude to us, we even found it very difficult to get back into the hotel after being out in Loughborough, the evening/night staff were simply a comedy of errors. This in iteself because other members of staff were more than helpful and otherwise the hotel was very good to stay in. bed uncomfortable. hotel lacked atmosphere. Quality of the rooms.Central heating very noisy. very poor value and sooo noisy. This hotel is in the centre of Loughborough with a night club opposite. We stayed on a Friday night and managed only 4 hours sleep because of the noise. The room did not have air conditioning and we had to have the window open or suffocate. noisy heating system. dated and tired.

From Nottingham: Take the A60 into Loughborough. Follow the road until you reach the second set of traffic lights, where you turn left into Queens Road. At the next set of traffic lights turn right onto the A6 and go through two more sets of traffic lights. The hotel is situated on the left-hand side. From the North and South via the M1: Follow the M1 until Junction 23, then follow the signs for A512 (Loughborough). Go straight through the traffic lights and over the roundabout. At the next set of lights by Sainsbury's, turn left down Greenclose Lane (one way). At the end, turn right onto Swan Street/High Street. Go over two sets of pedestrian crossings and the hotel is situated on the right-hand side. From Birmingham and the M42: Take the M42 and then the A42, following the signs for the A512 (Loughborough) for approximately ten miles. Continue straight over the M1. Go straight through the traffic lights and over the roundabout. At the next set of lights, by Sainsbury's, turn left down Greenclose Lane (one way).
