What people say
We searched long and hard online to find a good, affordable hotel in central London. This one is it (along with the Nadler, a few streets east). Our room was much larger than expected and very modern. Walk out the front door of the hotel and you're staring down Carnaby St. Go a block west and you're on Regent St. A couple blocks north and you're on Oxford St.
BTW don't be concerned when you walk up the front steps the first time and wonder "Is this a hotel?" The entrance is, shall we say,. all reviews »
Location 2 mins from regent street /oxford circus.a shoppers delight.. In heart of central London..
Team-fab and great service for a European property..the bell boy very decent wd offer help everytime u entered the hotel
5th floor terrace.bful views.
theu sent a bful cake with happy anniversary written on it to along with loads of fruits..personal touch-yess loved it.
Firstly, the location was amazing. Top of Carnaby Street so we felt right in the heart of the action. Lobby and public areas are beautiful. The bedroom was fantastic. The bed was huge and comfy and all the decor was tastefully done. A really modern boutique style hotel. Would highly recommend.
The main thing that makes this hotel so impressive is the staff. So nice and helpful. Nicest I have come across in a central London hotel!
Bar is fun and our free upgrade room was fantastic.
Location is brilliant for Soho and Oxford St. We walked to southbank as well in about 20 mins.
Location is perfect in the middle of attractions, restaurants, ideal for shopping , close to metro, staff very polite and helpful - i stayed in king room and it doesnt face the main road so no noise, no knowledge about other rooms would definitely be my choice again next time.
The location and the room size is definitely good. Spacious and close to shopping area, and metro. Safe area. Good response from the staff despite a busy hotel, I've called the reception when the power went off at my room, and the maintenance came within 15min.
Welcome cookies for guests when they check in
very clean and comfortable room
Complimentary toiletries - Crabtree and Evelyn - LOve it.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with guests' luggages
room service menu was not too expensive
Water pressure was great!.
Super location, easy short walk from Oxford Circus. Central to shopping,
downtown London. Staff at check-in, check-out and concierge very
helpful. Rooms decent size for city hotel.
Excellent location, staff very friendly & helpful.. Got an upgrade
on arrival to a king suite & able to check in early which was a
bonus. Will definitely stay there again.
Location and friendly staff. I was a bit earlier than the official check-in time but this was no problem. Also on day of check-out they very kindly helped me with my luggage.
We had problems with our room but we were moved to another room quickly, the staff were friendly and always there to help. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
The location of the hotel was excellent for shopping and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we received was very spacious and quiet.
Excellent location, ideal for theatres, sight seeing and shopping. Staff very friendly and helpful, great room and food. What more can anybody want?.
There was a great staff member in concierge named:Larabi. He was very
helpful and friendly in guiding us to explore London.
The location was excellent, near to Soho, and leicester square.loved the hotel bar where they had the old courthouse cells.
Location is absolutely perfect. If you need some rest while shopping, hotel is next to all stores. I loved it.
The service and the extra tlc we got when they found out it was my wife's birthday. Also nice swimming pool.
Central location very close to Oxford Circus. Comfortable room, spacious bed, lovely bathroom.
Very convenient location when christmas shopping, could pop back for a rest then go out again.
The best location for central London. Keep the high quality over the years with great stuff.
Excellent location. Staff very friendly, great stay great weekend. Cant wait to return.
Love the location, close to those high end branded shops.
friendly and helpful staff.
Very centrally located - to convert an old court house into a hotel is a nice idea.
The location is perfect. You cannot be more central. Good value for money.
Lovely friendly staff, beautiful building in great location!.
excellent location, quiet, clean and large room, large bed.
Very central, good staff, well appointed room and ensuite.

The Hungarian guy at the reception was excellent!.

Location. Interior and exterior design.
Location and service at front desk.
good hotel ,, with great location.
Room size and location.
The location - superb.
Friendliness of staff.
Excellent location.
perfect location.
excellent staff.
Great location.
The room.
stuff.
the location was very good.
the ladies on the front desk were very helpful.
the man on duty on the morning of 6th november was very curt and not at all welcoming.
Good location, not too crowded, good breakfast.
I can't recall any problems.
high price.
Breakfast pricing although we actually went out for breakfast anyway so didn't really bother us. Spa could do with a steam room or jacuzzi instead of the pointless glass box hanging over the pool!!
Could have done with more tea age and milk!.
Bed was too soft so sleep quality was not good.
At first my room didn't have hair dryer, so I requested one but the hair dryer was in a very pool condition that the front was falling off. Wouldn't be safe to use I think...
Pillow abit too soft
No complimentary water in the room for a 5 star hotel.
At 250gbp per night, wifi should be included and not another 15 or 20
gbp in room per day. They do have free Wifi in Lobby, but not same.
Only thing we could have done with was some slippers as the bathroom
floor was cold but otherwise no complaints.
Pool hours: only from 10.00 to 19.00.
The curtains and towels should be replaced because they are worn out.
No complimentary water or flannels.
No free WiFi,breakfast was expensive and the hot selection was only just warm and
The only egg option was scambled.
Pool. Not that clean.
Breakfast was average. Could have been better for the price.
Stayed in a twin room, didnt like the way the bed moved so easily away from headboard, wouldnt stay still!!.
Leaving.
walked 25 mins to Selfridges. Not really that close.
No complimentary water in the room.
The hotel is about 20 years old and that one can see. A refresher is quite necessary. Also the fact that the building used to be a cour house gives it a grey and dark atmosphere. certain areas in grey tiles are historic, but not very lifely.
The price per room is quite high for what it is.
WIFI available at rooms will make the hotel excellent.
no wifi in the rooms, slow connection in the lobby.
Room very expensive for its size. It was a small double. Wifi cost extra.
Breakfast and the Breakfast room was poor ambience and if sitting in the middle the down draught from the ceiling vent was unacceptable.
Only COLD plates to put the Chef's lovely HOT food on !
Breakfast Room and layout was crude as was queueing at the narrow door entrance (just move the desk further inside the room !).
bah was slippery having a shower and no hair dryer or plug near a mirror.
Room needed quite a bit of maintenance doing.
2 single beds pushed together as I did state this was our honeymoon.
Expensive and poor breakfast hall despite great service
Room quite small and no separate shower.
price is a little high.
Having to pay for wifi in the rooms.
Smell of sewage in the bathroom & bed very hard .
The wi-fi didn't work throughout my stay. At least 7 people came to check on it and tried to get it working, without result. As I am a blogger in town for the London Fashion Week, this pretty much destroyed my stay professionally.
I would have at least expected some complimentary gesture to excuse for the inconvenience, such as complimentary breakfasts or a bottle of champagne. But indeed, I came to town to blog about the fashion week, yet didn't manage to make single blog post during my stay.
Air conditioning wasnt working properly.
no free wifi in the room. had to pay extra 14 pounds.
Room small.
The enterance.
nothing.
We had to be moved from the first room we were given because the paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling and it was a bit tatty all round so we were moved to a more comfortable room.
the toilet flush didnt work properly. it was not seen to even when raised. bath floor mats were not given and it was still not provided even after asking twice.
the price for the hotel room does not commensurate with the quality of the rooms.
We were underwhelmed by our room for the price. My daughters room was nice. Bar was a bit dead in the evening.
