It was warm. It was easy to get to although 10min walking distance from Stratford station. On checking in my room was upgraded to a double. Staff were generally friendly.nice staff(but bad english-skills), the price was good. The staff and free use of wireless. Location. easy to found and near London Liverpool station, very good position if you are coming from Stansted airport. all reviews »
The staff were friendly. Only that I could check in late at night.Nothing it was an absolute disgrace, filthy, almost derilict. An utter joke for a so called hotel, I even contemplated sleeping in my car. They had wifi Internet. nothing at all. The bacon. Polite staff. Full english breakfast was not served as stated, there was a little kitchen for u to go and make your own cereal and toast in.The room I was upgraded to on the top floor, there was no kettle, the curtain was half hanging off the rail and falling apart, the shower in the room was through a very low doorway and did not have hotwater. Also the sink in the room although being clean and looking fairly new, had the taps on the wrong way round!. Bad food. Bed-sheets and towels far beyond retirement, but still in use.Lack of showers on first floor and one downstairs was so so messy.English breakfast? I was only offered eggs and toast. Breakfast supposedto start at 7 but not open untill 7.10,lady apologised but the fact Ihad to leave early so I had to eat my breakfast so quickly to be ontime. When I checked in, at 3 room not available but the staff offeredto give me discount of £5.00 which was nice. Hotel run-down. The bathroom is quite duty. Because this building is very old. the bathroom. The hotel clearly states that wireless is available for all guests. The wireless range is unsatisfactory, the wireless was protected and even the with password provided, the wireless still did not work. No towels were provided for guests, the rooms smelt very off, the bed sheets were not washed and had red blood stains on them. The condition of the room was disgusting, no clothes rail or hangers!. very poor comfort, query if clean,. the whole hotel.. seemed more like a hostel for the down and out.. This was the dirtiest, the worst, the most uncomfortable place I have stayed in my life. I booked it trying to save money in London, and it was not worth the savings. Warning to others: pay more, go somewhere else.there was no cupboard, no remote for tv, the room was very basic. no decoration..shall i go on. Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Disorganised, the rooms were in complete disrepair, there are probably several instances where if they were ever inspected by health and safety they'd be shut down, for example plugging the wires of a temporary replacement lamp directly into the plug socket.Hotel was very dirty, very cold the staff were unhelpful all that seemed to be missing from this hotel were cockroaches. It was a dreadful experience and i wish i had not bothered to stay overnight. I have a pet dog and i would not have let him sleep in the bed that i and my sister had to sleep in. Everything else. Lousy standard.
No coffe/tea etc in room, which is customary in small UK hotels.
