self contained with all needed kitchen facilities for cooking, ironing facilities, good shower, very clean and well cared, staff very polite and helpful, very close to Hammersmith tube and bus station, good commerce nearby, pubs and restaurants, close to the Thames River for a nice walk alongside and a meal or beer at The Dove. And finally, an attractive price. I will definitely try to stay here next time I am back to London.
all reviews » We had a whole apartment in a small space. It was done well though and so did not feel cramped, yet fit everything in that we could have asked for. (Having a full kitchen was impressive.) And all this was for a much better price than many of the other hotels. Room was perfectly clean and the owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Close to many pubs, shopping centre and the metro.. it doesn't get much better. Thanks Aviva Studios!. The welcome was great, the owners were very friendly and helpful. Accomodation was clean and well kept and comfortable Supermarket is nearby and also the tube with direct connection to the city. The neighbourhood is quiet. We were there with famillies and friends and we will never forget our weekend in London. We recommend Aviva Studios and we would like to come back again. Very close to Hammersmith tube station. Friendly owner, excellent facilities. My room was described as a small double but it was a really decent size compared to some in London. The kitchenette was well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, sink, kettle and toaster. The room was very clean and comfortable. For the price I thought it was excellent. Took a little while to get my bearings coming out of Hammersmith tube station, but that's all. Noise from floors creaking upstairs until late. The fridge noise in the room was annoying, so I had to unplug it. I couldn't use the laundry facilities, because someone had left their clothes in there. (I chose to stay here partly based on laundry facilities). The owner should ensure the washing machine is emptied promptly or at least provide a basket to empty others' washing into to free up the machine. Very small bathroom in our room but perfectly adequate. We were on 2nd floor so had to manage stairs as there was no lift. No problem for us though. No lift with the skinny staircase made getting my bag to the 3rd floor somewhat hard, tried to cook some bacon took forever as the hot plates didn't have the hi-lo marked I had it on wrong setting since I'm from a different country, owners aid she would bring a kettle up for me but never did!. The bed is small - of course it is a single studio. Nothing, everything was great. From time to time there was an unpleseant smell from the drains in the bathroom. The shower has some problem. N/A. The shower seemed to have only two settings, hot and really hot (maybe I just couldn't figure out it?) plus the door to the shower didn't quite close all the way. If other guests are up and about you can hear them and water flowing through pipes fairly easily. Nothing really negative to be honest.There was a little wear and tear here and there, but that's to be expected, our own homes would never be perfect. They should mention about the 3% credit card admin fee in their letsbookhotel.com page. (They do mention in an email but you see this after booking a room.). No lift so may be a problem for the elderly or disabled. No sound isolation. If you have neighbours like mine in the next room, forget about sleeping. The tv position : I have to sit on the bed to watch it (cannot lie on the bed). :P. It rained while we were there. Stairs weren't a problem for me, but might be for some. Traffic noise - hard to escape in London. For two elderly Australians, a bit bigger than average size, such a tiny room was probably not the wisest choice. And it was two storeys up two steep flights of stairs. No curtains in the windows. Lots of light early morning (5:00). No dvd player as advertised Sheets not Hotel quality. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever "slept" in. The tv cable in my room was not working properly. They tried to fix it twice but it was not working well on the day that I left. Plumbing noise. Nothing. Nothing. Shared bathroom noisy could hear neighbourgh sky channel was out of order. No socket in the bathroom.
