Leisure facilities and lovely room

Problem with door key Room situated quite a way from reception and door key did not work after carrying luggage up stairs etc to room Also eating facilities Would have liked to have eaten in bar area but this was quite a dull - Did go up to 'hatch' to look at menu but this was a small area and could only hold a couple of seats which were occupied making it difficult to look at meu etc.l

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the views over the river Clyde are stunning

only stayed one night on route to another venue. It was a very comfortable hotel with good leisure facilities.

If you're not staying in the main old building - the new blocks are a long way from reception but thats just a minor point.

Very homely feel about the place. Swimming pool was great.

The staff were not always very friendly. We had wanted to use the Spa facilities, but due to the fact that it was not signed or easy to find, we could not book in time.

The location is lovely, very nice and peaceful, close proximity to Glasgow and Loch Lomond, staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was a bit noisy, the room doors slam very loudly and it got a bit wearing. Sound proofing in the rooms wasnt great either.

The reception staff were excellent and the rooms very comfortable

The restaurant was very short staffed, slow serving and then tried to charge double for our meal and drinks!!

I thought the staff were very freindly and helpful, The swimming pool was one of the best sized I have came across in an hotel.

I was disapointed that the internet access was not availiable, I think a hotel should offer free internet use even if only in public areas , I had to use weatherspoons pubs to send emails which did mean that I dined at weatherspoons rather than at the hotel. The hotel did say it had wireless internet availiablle but none showed up when scanned fro so I assume there is no wireless net working.

I booked a Z-bed but on arrival it was not available. My room rate was more expensive that advertised and they have just charged me all the cost on my personal debit card rather than splitting the bill as requested. There was a fault with the telephones which meant that I had to leave my card details as the machine wasn't working. The pool closed at 8pm.

size of the room and the beds very comfortable

poor checking in, given directions to the room and had to drive to a different building, should have been shown. No bath towels when I asked for some they couldn't find any so was given 4 small hand towels. There was only a pieces of toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived and had to phone for another roll.
