I stayed at this hotel while en route from Eastern Europe. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, they really couldn't do enough for you.. Always pleasant and helpful.. The hotel has all the facilities that I needed, an atm, concierge, room service, shuttle bus.. Would recommend highly! Will be booking again as very reasonable price for London airport hotel... The kindness of the hotel staff at reception was nice, I was allowed to download and print my boarding passes for next day without having the need to order the horribly priced internet. The buffet dinner was also nice with professional care in the restaurant.
all reviews » We had a fantastic room with a seperate lounge area. The bathroom was very large and provided us with everything we required. We decided to eat in and had the buffet which was great value for money. A delightfull overnight stay. thank you. Especially the wonderful helpful Abraham, he made sure that our stay was enjoyable, giving us so many ideas and places to explore. We will always be grateful to his manner and professional conduct, he was more than a concierge. Great place. Nothing was too much for them. We stayed an extra night because we had our distress a day out. They gave us the extra night at the same price. No outside noise,even though we're right on the airports doorstep. Very close to heathrow airport. The hotel was ideal for that reason & was very professionally run & the staff were friendly & polite.It was modern & very clean,we would stay there again. convenience to Heathrow, as well as access to the UnderGround for travel into London; excellent, informed staff, ease of transport to/from airport; availability of various dining facilities; clean rooms. good location, easy access from M4, good parking. Cheap mini cab ride from hotel to airport which at £12 isn't much more than the shuttle bus (beware tho, the mini cab driver tried to ask for more). If I were to be "picky", I might say the hallways - carpeting and walls - are a bit worn. Did not really bother me. Internet is chargeable, why oh why Holiday Inn do you charge at this hotel, but not your other hotels. Do you now understand the principles of 'brand value'. Also believe it or not there are only 2 baggage trolleys at this big airport hotel, and the customer service staff really begrudge helping you. Please provide lots of luggage carts please like you do in other Holiday Inns !. Considering the price, internet should be included FOC and parking for Hotel Guests should also be free. Swarm of tourists and preferential treatment given to groups (who are no doubt charged less than full fee paying clients) making a beeline for the meal point. This one point would make me reconsider before booking again. The first night we were allocated a twin bedded room instead of a double room contrary to our booking. We were later shifted to Room 935 which was a smoking room and yet we had indicated that we are non-smokers. The room itself needs urgent attention in respect of the carpet which is not up to standard. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Location. The deal we got was very good. This value would be rapidly undermined by buying food drinks wireless access etc in the hotel. You are not always informed that things come with a charge when they are offered.eg wireless connection and pre dinner nibbles in the restaurant. Nothing that I can identify. The restaurant has very good food and price reasonable. The fact that Sampans was not open on Sundays. The persistent background noise in the lobby due to loud pop and rock so called music..No need for this. One shuttle did not arrive to return us to the hotel. we stayed here twice, incoming flight 6th Ocv and out going 26th oct. first room excellent. 2nd time older room, some power points not working. had one that i could use to charge 2 phones an ipad laptop, use kettle/hairdrier...not a great help! no mini bar in second room. charge same price for nice new and old and lacking. directions to find the hotel. Restaurant closed early . Limited menu Lack of Spa facilities. Crowded lifts in the morning. Having to use the stairs to access the ground floor. Nothing. I was too tired to notice anything bad - at all. Paying GBP 12.00 for parking per night when the parking lot was full two nights in a row and I had to "double park". Didn't provide free airport shuttle. Furnishings in room now rather worn. Nothing..the fact that I only stayed for one night. Handicap room had bath tub rather than walk in shower. Dumb. Otherwise well equipted for handicaped. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn before as part of a LEGOLAND trip and we did not have to pay for parking but this time we were charged £24 for parking. I also didn't like the fact that we booked the hotel in August and my account wasn't debited until the day before we travelled. 1. Location -- Highly visible, but impossible to access driving from the Motorway Junction description! Took over an hour circling and in and out of Heathrow terminals to find the place. Moreover, there are three holiday inns in the same area -- we got to this one on our third attempt. The management should give each one a distinctive name. 2. Breakfast closes at 10.30 am which is too early for travelers with afternoon flights to check out late. Slow bus service. sunday morning breakfast timing for light meals. Location.
