I would like to say how impressed I was with a certain member of staff called Luke Francois. He was charming, extremely helpful, walked out with us to our car to get our registration number. He also kindly extended our checking out time from 11am until 2pm which was very much appreciated. Also had room service and the waiter was again charming and nothing was too much bother. Loved the hotel and the modern feel about it just a shame the weather wasn't better as the terrace looked lovely. Would .
all reviews » A new luxurious hotel in Guildford, providing 100% customer satisfaction at a very reasonable price and representing excellent value for money. I felt comfortable and welcome in the hotel as soon as I arrived. Friendly yet professional reception staff made me feel special when checking in, and within minutes of getting to my room I received a telephone call from reception asking if everything was satisfactory in my room. I intend to return to this hotel again soon, this time for a longer stay. The Birthday well wishes for my Partner who was celebrating his 50th..hand written in Icing on a slate..Not expected! Nice touch,thank you.. The color scheme and the soft furnishings in your room..Late Check-out at no extra charge.. The huge bath...Lush Bathroom.. The position of the hotel although central was quiet and within walking distance of the shopping area. The rooms were all well maintained and bedroom and bathroom of good size. The staff were attentive and friendly. Lovely,open space in reception area. Times newspaper available...very friendly staff both in reception and in the bar. Use of spa was very relaxing. Pool was only really a plunge pool and there was some noise from the street during the night but only what you would expect in such a central location. Cold plates for full English at buffet breakfast..you must get plate warmers ...unforgivable really in a hotel of this standard. Nothing. No laundry bags in room you need to request and when I did they still never put them in room. Overcharges on Landry and some food items which were corrected after I spotted them. Reception gave me some food vouchers upon arrival but there Intepretation of usuage was different to restaurant. Didn't stay there long enough. Quality of decor could be better and my room overlooked the reception so felt inclined to keep my blind down. Not enough time to enjoy the spa - not hotel's fault we had a tight schedule!. On the letsbookhotel.com page it does not say that there is an extra cost of £10 per person if you want to use the spa on weekends. Had I known this, I would have probably booked another hotel. It is just ridiculous that you pay for a hotel room and you think something is included, arrive to reception and find out rules are not exactly as advertised. Can't say we had any dislikes!. The fact that the spa was not included in our booking and that was not made clear by letsbookhotel.com The staff in the spa were not friendly. No biscuits provided with tea tray. £10 car park. Fee for swimming so didn't even go look at what I was missing. Price of hotel high, it was for top notch but to add these extra charges was I felt disappointing. Nothing -. More a business hotel than family hotel. We could not use the pool with kids. Passes to our room kept on blocking. The fact we were charged £10 to use the pool even though we were paying guests of the hotel. nothing,but breakfast expensive. Unfortunately funny smell in room. toiletries all sealed and attached to wall so you could not add shower gel to bath for example. Made the hotel seem a bit low budget, did not like that. also the pool and spa was chargable at weekends, which was not stated in hotel details. We did not like that,if you stay at a hotel you should be able to use those facilities for free. nothing. a little bit noisy in the night, because of the bar's bass music sound. Nothing. I booked 3 twin rooms but on arrival was told you only had doubles available so we had to share beds which made the trip less comfortable. If you book and pay in advance for twin rooms that is what you should be given. cold plates at breakfast - twice. The bed in the double room was way to small and uncomfortable. Price. Room a little small. Tea & coffee facilities in the room leave a little to be desired. room service was a bit slow. Breakfast was very expensive (£17 / person). Small room and bed, especially for a couple travelling with an infant. Booked hotel because it had a swimming pool so we could take our young daughter swimming and were not notified that there is an age restriction when using the pool!. nothing really. Long queues to check out. Had to park up, check in then go park the car - not many places to put car whilst you check in. Additional charge for bed - no twin beds available. The bedroom was clean and the bathroom deco nicely don. Apart from a mouldy stale water smell in the shower cubical.It cost me £261 for two night with no food and £10 for every 24hrs in the car park.so I think its a little expensive ,.
