The room was lovely and spacious ,clean,pleasantly decorated .We enjoyed a delicious meal the previous evening attended by staff who obviously cared re their customers comfort and enjoyment as nothing was too much bother.The same attendance was shown by morning staff also.Thank You. it is very close to loch lomond which is good, but it is also not far from glasgow which makes it a good base for days out.

This hotel has a good location, in the Scottish First National Park, near Loch Lomond. It's easy to park the car. the entertainment was good. the hotel was central to my own local needs. n/a. youngsters hanging about outside in evenings. Hair in fruit salad/when we arrived they said we were not bboked in and then that the deposit for £200 we had paid was not received. Both proved incorrect but it was a scary moment. Only complaint was the meal I had in the bar on the Friday night. Thepastry on the steak pie had a distinct chemical smell and taste. Made methink of oven cleaner. However my partners meal was ok. Dinner was not up to standard. Food had been kept hot and a skin had formed.Not much to do in the area of drymen and it was a bit of a drive from the actual loch, meals at dinner were nice but portions were small-ish. Apart from that it was lovely!. Floorboards squeak a lot and woke me too early in mornings. no wireless internet available. We booked one standard and one double room. Upon arrival we wereinformed that the twin room was not available and we were allocated thedisabled bedroom. Although very roomy, the bathroom did not have aproper washbasin and area to store toiletries. This did present aproblem for my parents.A long and tricky way from reception to room. Lady in the bar told us the price of the lager as if it was too expensive.Maybe just a Scottish thing but not good for sales.No adapters for foreign electricals,I let a guest borrow mine.Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Food only reasonable. Was charged £3 extra for kipper for breakfast despite not having cooked breakfast.Could hear everything through the walls of the room. Car park a distance from the reception. Breakfast room needs more staff. the food in the restaurant was very poor quality. Certainly not worth the cost. We also could hear the man in the next bedroom snoring - not much soundproofing there...room smelt of smoke. Wireless internet access only worked in the lobby. Too expensive for what it offers, easily the most expensive hotel I've been in Scotland. To get to the room, the guests must go though several sets of stairs up and down. Didn't like being asked to give all my credit card information, including security number, at the check-in.the service during our meal left alot to be desired, the food was practically thrown down at us. This is not for anyone looking for a relaxing break. Our room was above the main bar, which had music up to 2am, and outside in street was noisiest ,rowdiest village in scotland. Other guests had no respect when returning to rooms at 2am. Our luggage was left unattended from 2pm till 10pm in foyer, receptionist did not know it was there, anyone could have walked off with them.found very crowded no were to sit and eat because of other parties that had been booked. Bar food disgusting - i appreciate being a veggie can cause some issues - however we are poorly catered. Rooms noisy, creaking floors and corridors, at one stage found the fire doors jammed opened with fire appliances,Paint peeling from window frames and constant running toilet. Staff not dressed to reflect they postion within the hotel. Verty limited car parking. far too noisy, checked out a night early due to function and extreme noise , will never stay here again. Reception stafff indifferent to problems.

- Take the M9 exit, signposted to Trossaachs.
- Follow the A811, signposted to Erskine Bridge.
- Head to Drymen on this road.

From Glasgow:
- Exit the M8 at junction 16, and follow signs for Aberfoyle, the A809, then the A811.
- The hotel is in the centre of Drymen on the village green.

From the North-West:
- Take the A82 down the west side of Loch Lomond.
- Turn left through Balloch, following signs for Stirling on the A811.
