I really can't recommend the Loch Ness Inn enough. From the warm welcome (even though there was an unexpected coach trip in for lunch, we were shown to our room with the biggest smile in Scotland), sitting in the snug little bar listening to the locals telling stories, to eating the finest prawns I've ever had, it's a great place to base yourself in the highlands. The rooms are great, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and comfortable.
all reviews » Very charming hotel, our room was a good size and well appointed , very fresh decor with lovely tartan bed head. Compact bathroom, with nice toiletries. Great restaurant served good wholesome fresh food and we all really enjoyed our meal, the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside in their 'beer garden' for a pre dinner drink. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The staff were wonderful. Helpful concerned caring and friendly. We were struggling to carry cases upstairs and the nice bar manageress offered a ground floor room which was ideal. Good nights sleep and excellent breakfast. Ten out of ten. Fantastic staff who were very friendly and welcoming. Room was great - clean, tidy and the WIFI worked (unlike the Clansman Hotel). Fell in love with the food which was delicious. Couldn't recommend it more!. After doing a lot of fish and chips, the roast beef dinner we had was wonderful! Loved the way you cook your potatoes! The staff were all friendly and helpful! The only thing we didn't like .. the fact that we only stayed 2 nights.. Nothing. Address on letsbookhotel.com is wrong, we had to ask a local for directions as our gps took us to the address and the Loch Ness Inn was no where in sight. The shower in our room drained really slow, it may have been blocked. Your joking?. nothing comes to mind!!. The only problem was that our room was on the ground floor opposite the restaurant and as other guest were going to their rooms they were quite noisy. Can't think of a single thing!. Being an Inn, the bar seemed popular and music from the bar could be heard in the bedrooms however this did not go late into the night, possibly as we stayed mid-week. Nothing - it was all spot on!. Room with skylight and very warm- no air conditioning in room. This would have made the stay perfect. Nothing. That I had to leave!. Nothing. The bar area can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Room abit small, and over restaurant, so noisy. Didn't think much of the Red Ness Ale. Not much. Room was small and got a bit warm. Lack of soundproofing between shower room of next door room and ours, felt as though they were showering in our room. Towels changed every day, this is a waste of energy and unnecessary. Walls a bit thin - could hear chatter form Dining area (underneath room) till late into night. Nothing that Ear Plugs wouldn't sort though. Walls were a bit thin. Slightly warm room. The noise that went on until lthe wee small hours of the Shinty players and supporters drowning their sorrows after the local team's match loss. We missed out on many hours of sleep as a result. But, they know the were drowning their sorrows after a defeat. Limited hanging space. Nothing, everything was perfect. No chairs or table in room. Nothing. Nothing. the bedrooms needed to be sound proofed very noisey.. i am sure anyone would find the same... Room wasnt totally clean. Long waiting time for food. Bathroom shower needed some maintenance and faulty light over sink needed replacement. Hotel and bed room were just too hot. For some reason we had ground floor disabled unit and delivery van parked directly outside at c5am with much noise and movement. Need to get heating sorted out, keep noise level down and/or have air conditioning. Not cleanly room, found former customer's food waste.
