The manager (Suzanne) is a great women..perfect for this job..Her boss (father in law) is not , point.I can only say to the owner...gif your son and dother in law a big big big bonus...they are the one how keeps your B&B it is ..wel done Suzanne and 3 dothers..thanks for the cake ;-). Clunebeg sits at the to of the hill above Dromnadrochit town. Easily walkable to the town centre, and the Loch Ness Inn is at the bottom of the street. It's a beautiful place to stay and staff are friendly and accommodating.
all reviews » The room and ensuite bathroom were very clean, the staff welcoming and the breakfast was excellent (haggis included!). The location was very good for walking in the surrounding area. Free parking was immediately outside. Suzanne was wonderful - very helpful with everything and went out of her way to help everybody.. Breakfast was excellent and welcoming was very friendly and made even better with a pot of tea on arrival. Location is close to the Loch Ness, fair price for a room for up to 6 ppl with jakuzzi and amazing view on the mountain. There is a bbq area and nice countryside around a hotel. 5 of 5 indeed. A great place to stay in Drumnadrochit - comfortable, friendly, clean and a great breakfast. We could certainly recommend the Loch Ness Inn for dinner. Keep your eyes our for the deers. Was very remotely located, up a country road but still very accessible to local village. Felt in the middle of nowhere which I really liked. Really nice welcome from the owner too. Susannah, the manager, was just fantastic. She made us dinner reservations at a great pub. The wifi worked wonderfully and breakfast was very traditional. The location was very beautiful and peaceful. Rooms are a bit noisy due to thin walls, but other than that, the stay was great!. There was inadequate lighting in the bedroom, with a reading light only on one side of the double bed. Also we would have liked a telephone link between the lodge and the nearby house in which the owners/managers lived, in case of emergency. Small walk into Drumnadrochit but no big deal. There's still work to be done to fully finish the place. Gps didn´t know the place so call the helpful staff :). There was a smell of damp in one of our rooms, and the walls were a bit thin. (Room 5 borders two bathrooms.). Nothing. trying to find the place with our gps co-ordinates taking us to the wrong side of the river. Room a little small for a 4 poster bed so didn't feel luxurious. no taxi would pick you up because such a remote place. Advert when booking was confusing. A bit difficult to find. a bit remote. Nothing. Seemed a bit spartan...sort of like a rough hunting lodge. Very small room. Very thin, hard twin beds. Little bit difficult to find location. Just keep your eyes open for signs :). Dirt track leading up to B&B Small bedroom/bathroom Bad reception on TV. The cheap plates and thin walls. The misleading website - the Lodge is not a Guest House - more of a hostel - staff are not in-house. Landlord was a little put out by a small request and 15 minute delay departing. No porridge for breakfast. 'Bike store' involved locking bike to outdoor wooden fence post in back yard. Poor design. Spartan building. Of all the B&B's we spent in over a 5 week period this was the worst. In comparison to others - very poor value for money. More for walkers & backpackers. Room very tiny. Couldn't bend down to pick up soap in the shower! Heater not working in the bathroom. Linen suspect ( maybe just not ironed) and old. Breakfast ok. Noisy room and you needed to be an ostrich to watch tv - at right angles on the side wall. Do not be fooled that it offers a 4 poster bed!. the room smells of humidity. it was difficult to open the door of the room, maybe needs some grease. I found it out very expensive for what you get. I know that it was not included the breakfast, but when I saw how stingy was the place, we thought that the breakfast must be included in the price. The ensuite door didn't close properly. Ensuite so small towel rail in bedroom. Noisy fan and wires to heater torn from wall. Needed to ask for yogurt, milk and water at breakfast. Proprietor completely disinterested in guests; has village lady on call to do check in, had to call locally to find her. Bed linen dirty, bed worst quality.

Coming from Inverness into Drumnadrochit, look for the garage on the right, after the garage take the second right, look for Clunebeg sign and follow estate road with the river on your right. Coming from Fort William direction, look for Urquart Castle on the right, then Borlum Farm Riding School on your left. Take the next left, see Clunebeg sign and follow estate road with the river on your right. For late check-in, guests are kindly requested to inform the property of their estimated time of arrival. This can be noted in the Special Request box when booking or by contacting the property using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Late check-in is charged at GBP 10 per hour. Kindly note some rooms do not have breakfast included. When booking for 6 persons or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
