The room was very modern,clean and reminded me more of a city apartment with it's flat screen tv and stylish fittings. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance of the train station and Derby city center. Would definately stay again. it was brand new everywhere was clean fresh. the rooms where warm and the breakfast most enjoyable. the chef came out of kitchen and asked if all ok. my husband would not have dared tell him if it wsnt. ha ha. i thought he was a handsome fellow.

Coffee machine was poor.I stayed for 5 nights. On the 4th day I returned to my room and found that my electronic key would not unlock the door. Under the door was a letter stating that I had overshot my credit limit. I was not aware of a credit limit and was very unhappy that this lead to my being locked out. I made my feelings known to the manager in no uncertain terms. Surrounding area looks like a building site at present.Took a chance whether hot or cold water came out of taps,Sky television reception spasmodic and faulty electrics.Difficult to find, not accesible from road name shown on the address. Rooms far too hot. Sorry see the above I putAt breakfast we were offered the most repulsive scrambled eggs on earth. They were grey, smelled awful and the scrap I tried tasted like nothing I know. When I asked if it was possible to have a fried egg I was toldl it was it possible because of 'health and safety' in case I get salmonella yet they were serving boiled eggs. Because my stay was during Christmas there was no room staff to tidy room.Having to be moved room three times - firstly due to a uncleaned room and secondly because of a room with faulty electrics. Spending a full day without any water in the whole of the hotel. This included a flushing toilet!. the over pricing of the drinks.
