This girl goes out of her way to make sure your guests are well taken care of and I say that not just from how she helped me but I saw her helping other guests. She goes above and beyond what one would expect and always with a great smile and cheerful disposition...even when guests aren't happy. She really deserves a raise. I was amazed at how she handled everything and honestly, would not have enjoyed my stay without here charming disposition...k.
all reviews » The staff are very friendly with big smiles. The restaurant staff during the breakfast were very welcoming and the breakfast was so good. The location is very quite and handy to the centre if you have got a car. My son enjoyed it a lot and considered it as one of his best hotel expereinces. It was mention that the car parking is for £8/day but it was for free :) !! Thanks. Clean, comfortable with friendly staff. No hassles check-in, check-out. Restaurant does the job and is reasonable value for money. Rooms are very confortable and quiet and everything you need without unneccesary luxuries. Hard to beat for a night or two. Free parking. Can catch bus into town, but we drove to the Park and Ride and caught a bus. Spacious room and clean. The restaurant was being renovated when we were there, the staff even called a week before to notify us!. Location was great in a residential area that felt very safe. The hotel, is new and really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Once staff member Daria was particularly good. great beds, great pillows, very clean, nice colours, and the breakfast was just perfect, there were croissants and everything was self-service (beans, mushrooms, sausages, ...). Convenient location. We were concerned about A14 traffic noise so asked for a quiet room - our room was very quiet even with the window open. Good breakfast (continental). The reception staff were unbelievably helpful. Alice, Jolene and Josh went out of their way to help me. Alice in particular went the extra mile, in every way. The hotel was obviously recently new, but the staff, and hotel were excelent, very clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning made a great difference. A car is must. Saying that though it's ony 5 minutes out by car but beware if you are not used to Cambridge that parking is very challenging. nothing. I found the winter duvet too hot - we are used to summer-weight duvet year-round. We used just the cover with the duvet across our legs. Others have criticised the location in a barely finished housing estate - but that didn't bother us. The wifi was awful, slow and hard to connect. I was not the only guest to have problems. Breakfast did not suit me as an all you can eat breakfast is not cheap for those with small appetites, yet the option of a piece of fruit and poached egg on toast was not available on its own. The full price was payable. The only alternative was a croissant, but not all of us like fat laden white carbs to start the day. I found the price of the hotel £104 per night with continental breakfast far too expensive, I stay in many hotels through out the uk at far better prices with full English breakfast included. Neither soap dispenser worked in the sink or bath - poor design perhaps but bottle had to be removed to get the soap out. Nothing. Nothing. Not having comforable chairs in the bedroom to sit on in the evening. Too hot in the room. A/C useless. Location too far from Cambridge city. Bus transport limited. The coffee/bar area closed on Sunday for an hour and when it re opened there was no food selection. the hotle was packed and everyone went out to find somewhere to eat. Very odd. The hotel is built in the centre of a relatively new housing development. There isnt much within walking distance although cambridge is a short drive in the car. No info on things to do in Cambridge in the lobby - all leaflets for other areas. A lot of noisy footstepping over our room in the mornings. Perhaps we were under a storage area. Only two coffee sachets & 2 teabags in the room. Initially, only two towels in the room, however, this was rectified immediately after requesting more. Nothing. it was outside of downtown but we expected that for the price and the bus stop was convenient. The mattress on the bed was a bit hard for our liking, so we could have slept better. Nothing. Have to catch a bus into the city. Nothing!. We found it hard to find. I think some of this could be to do with the street layout of Cambridge. Maybe reception could have some better maps for people from other countries as we find street signage in England very poor. But this is not a reflection on Premier Inns. The hotel was further out of town than I expected. If you are planning to take a taxi into the centre of Cambridge expect to pay around £10 each way. Nothing we didn't like ,very unusual to kind that theses days. Only one set of towels, lack of drinks choice and no biscuits in room, (both very, very minor!) The breakfast choice was truly excellent, sadly the actual cooked breakfast was poor and very greasy. Maybe grill things instead of fry?. You need to catch a bus into Cambridge. It's much of a trip but the hotel is isolated from any activities. Expensive as all UK hotel,relatively far from city centre. Has booked for a family room for 2 adult + 2 child but went to the room to found no bed for the child.Just a double bed only. They have quickly remedy it while we went for our dinner. The noise of the traffic outside and the difficulty of accessing the room via numerous doors and the lack of anyone to take our luggage. Price Breakfast area too crowded. Breakfast is a strategic nightmare. There are no trays so you have to take a plate at a time to the table.However, the tables are too small to put a cooked breakfast plus side dish for toast and cereal bowl. To make things worse, there is nowhere to put plates you have finished with. I had to keep flagging busy staff down to take plates away. The staff were apologetic and seemed to agree that the system needs improving. No food, other than a vending machine from the end of breakfast (10.30am) until 6.00pm. No shops in the vicinity to compensate. If just passing through the location is good however Iw ould not use it as a holiday base. We stayed at a disabled room, because there was not other available with double bed, and my husband found the bathtub floor slippery. £110 for a night v expensive. At that price would have expected biscuits, bottled water in room, slippers and bedrobe. Room way too warm (in cool weather) but window opening very small; only towels for 1 person provided--additional have to be picked up at front desk; no ice machine. towels.
