The receptionist ( dark hair , European) who checked us in and out was a great advert for the hotel , professional and very friendly , nothing was too much trouble for her . We were very impressed . location....all the staff were very friendly...bed was lovely room was of reasonable size.....hotel made our weekend most excellent. friendly and helpful staff as we had a young 2 month old baby with us.

It looks like a multi-storey carpark from the outside . Painting the concrete would make a huge difference. The bath taps however were difficult to turn on and off. i expecte to be asked weather i would like a room on the see front were as i was at the rear side of the hotel no view of the seafront what so ever. Cuboard doors in room were stiff and hard to open made a lot of noise opening and shutting them - Order breakfast in the room first day due to husband having an early appointment that morning - breakfast turned up over 30 min late also did not receive a full continental breakfast. building works going on outside - parking was a challenge as we had to pull in layby and check with reception if there were any spaces left.bar prices are very expensive. room decor and maintenance a bit tired. Drinks were expensive. parking £15 aday in hotel carpark, it should be free of charge!!!. The room was in dire need of painting and although the decor was modern, the walls were filthy, the bathroom very basic, the ironing board dirty with holes, a quilt had been thrown in the wardrobe which made it feel worse, the pillows were thin and hard and the carpet was not clean. If I had been paying the full amount to stay, I would have felt complained.But even at £123, I felt short-changed. The price was good as it was discounted but very shabby for a 4start Hotel.This was certainly not 4* accomodation as the hotel throughout was verydated. I would recommend this hotel on location grounds only. the price. Champagne ordered did not turn up on time, bathroom in particular bath and around tap area was not cleaned properly. Items on our bill that where not ours. yes £50 extra 4 c view room. the sink was cracked and the wall lining peeling. The reception was under refurb. poor plumbing, airconditoning did not work, shower hot water had no controls so only hot was available. Old tired and the whole hotel needs a total makeover. The bathroom is loke someting out of the ark.

Travelling information

Leave M25 at Junction 8 following M23 South to Gatwick & Brighton. Follow the motorway to the end where it changes onto the A23.
Follow M23/A23 south until a large roundabout. Stay in left lane and take slip road left onto A27 towards Worthing/Hove.

Join A27 and continue to stay on A27. Follow off next junction (A2038) to roundabout and take 2nd exit signed to Brighton.

Follow this road for continuing over traffic light junctions until the next roundabout. Take 4th exit (Vernon Terrace) signed Town Centre.

Follow this road to the seafront. Turn left onto dual carriage way the hotel is on the left 200 yards ahead.
