The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities and an ensuite showerroom. This was small, but perfectly adequate. William the owner, was very helpful and loaned me an iron and board due to my wedding outfit being creased on the journey. The location is perfect for both the town, railway station and beach. I used to live in Ayr, and picked this hotel specifically. Great value for money!.
all reviews » Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.We received a warm, friendly welcome. Miller House is close to train station, shops and a short walk to beach. I liked the free WiFi which worked well, and dvds which were provided. I left v early and did not have breakfast, but i will return and try it next time. The rooms were fresh and very clean. Everything we needed was there for us. The welcome we received was really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed. Breakfast was very nice. The location was perfect for a walk to the beach or into the town centre where there are plenty of places to eat. Stayed in the hotel for one night, spacious room, with excellent facilties, warm friendly staff,amazing cooked breakfast in the morning, great venue to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, situated in close proximity of town centre but far enough away to be able to switch off from the outside :). Nothing was too much trouble for William, who was friendly and accommodating. The facilities were clean and comfortable and we were able to come and go as we pleased. The garden was lovely to sit in and the breakfast was very well cooked and good value for money. I can't recommend it highly enough. Everything. The en-suite toilet did not flush. When I paid my bill at the end of my stay I described this, and the man who seemed to be the owner said " It was working the other day" but showed no interest. I do not think guests should have to fill the bathroom waste bin to flush the toilet. Bathroom is small but manageable. Dont know if all rooms are the same so ask if for family could have family rooms. It is a little walk to the beach but close enough. This should not put off.
