Location! Literally 3 minutes down the street and you are at the Aya Sofya and all main places of interest of Sultanahmet district. Nice breakfast that fueled us up - variety of fresh cheese and delicious bread, olives, tasty turkish cucumbers and tomatoes, different spreads. Great view from the rooftop. I asked for the possibility to check us in earlier via e-mailas long as my mother had a flu and they did. Everyday cleaning service. Coffee and tea in the room was a nice add on at the end of .
all reviews » Staff are great, Breakfast is good, and most important thing of L1 Hotel is that, where it's located. Only 2-3 minutes by walk and you are at the center of history, Sultanahmet. Rooms are clean, neat, comfortable. Hundreds of channels on LCD TV. High speed WiFi internet, Air conditioner. Nice view from the windows also you can go upstairs to Terrace and see most beautiful city, Istanbul from bird's-eye. Perfect location, in the heart of everything. Loads of restaurants with in walking distance. All major sites in walking distance. Can pick up load transport from nearby square along with site seeing buses. Smart clean rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Staff are very friendly all though there is a little language barrier. The hotel rooms interiors are well done. beds are comfortable. location is wonderful. Majority of famous places are well with in the walking distances. The old city area is very lively. The room was clean and all the facilities worked as described.The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was central and close to many tourist attractions. All was nice, but it would be better to have solid bathroom wall in the double rooms, as long as there are see through glass walls in the bathroom. but if you are two friends looking for the room to share think of no personal space while you are in the bathroom. Shower cubical is extremely small & uncomfortable. some of the staff was unfriendly. The collection of money at the hotel entry was their prime concern then making the tired guests comfort level. This is not understood by the hotel staff. The bathroom layout is strange and can be uncomfortable as it is completely see-through. Needs more privacy. Breakfast is simple and repetitive. There were a few glitches with electricity but the hotel apologised and very kindly provided us with in-room gifts for the inconvenience. The cleaning was not that good; I was never able to get the tv working and I had requested wake up call but the phone was disconnected - so I could have missed my tour. we had twin bed, so for the couple you have to always ask for kingsize if not the beds will be separated and it will be difficult to put them together. room could be bigger The rest was great. poor breakfast. Maybe the rooms are a bit small. the toilet was not closable. Glass walls separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. the bathroom all glass no privacy. Nothing. bed is too big compare to room size, however it will okey if the room can be used for more than one people. windows all the way around the bathroom ! Nja. Had half a day internet problem due to internet provider(as I been told). Sunday staff was late on morning breakfast serve, had to ask them to speed up due to our early plan. breakfast was the same every day...must change a little bit. Rooms are in general too small, no space to move. Bathroom is separated from bedroom with glass door/wall, which is sometimes inconvenient. Poor breakfast choice. First room offered did not lock and was noisy due to the building works next door. We then moved to a much nicer room. Noise from construction next door. Rooms were very small, in an attempt to create the appearance of space opposite walls were fully mirrored an extremely positive body image is essential.En suite has glass walls only partially obscured very small shower again with mirrored walls. Breakfast is paltry. The elevator near to the rooms. What's called a suite is nothing more than a standard room with a small but nice terrace. The furniture is modest and misses any aditional confort expected in a suite. Breakfast buffet is small. Overall the price for the room is far to high, half the price would be reasonable even consitering the location. The red coloured floor in the room was not to my liking. And the bathroom was a bit too small for comfort. Small rooms. Very Small Rooms Extreme noise from construction site beside hotel. Breakfast the same everyday. Problems with TV, can't change channels and no one can fix it, no hot water in shower one day, very few english at reception, poore breakfast. The hotel does not worth the price at all, small rooms, lots of noise out of the hotel so we could not sleep the whole night and also the breakfast has very limited choices & small dinning.
