A budget friendly hotel in a great location. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, about 5 min walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, etc. The tram station is also a few minutes walk. The staff is very friendly and eager to help wherever they can. The rooms are ok, not very big but decent and clean. The beds are also very comfortable. Great value for money, especially taking into account the excellent location.
all reviews » Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The locations is GREAT - 2 min walk to Aya Sofia and Sultanahmet Camii, 5 min walk to Gulhane Park, 10 min walk to Galata Bridge. The tram station is also a few minutes walk. The rooms are clean and quiet. Possibility to parking the car. Working WiFi. We will definitely go back to Anadolu Hotel when we are back in Istanbul. The breakfast is from the cheapest products of supermarket dia, not made with love as in Minel hotel, a similar in price hotel where some friends arrived. friendly staff. Wireless Internet didn't work in our room. We had to go in the hallway in order to use it (stayed on the 2nd floor). Unavoidable flight of stairs for old aged person.(Other hotels cannot avoid it too). Street could be noisy at times. Room cleaning not up to mark. The intercom facility is not available in the rooms. The hotel is located on inner side so difficult to locate. This can be solved by displaying big sign boards for the hotel on main roads. Some small repairs to doors and cabinets are necessary. Unlike what the hotel description says, there was no wifi connection in the room and so we had to go to the lobby and even there it wasn't always working. That was pretty annoying. I don't think they should say they have wifi, it was misleading. Also, the range of the breakfast bufet was poor. Very few things to choose from. A very small bathroom without a shower curtain and with a huge ugly mushroom on the ceiling.
