A perfect place to stay and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Th Khao San road! We had a deluxe room at the back of the hotel (no windows), so didn't hear any of the noise from the street at the front (and it does get noisy)! Breakfast was at the bigger hotel over the road although a little disappointing because as a vegetarian the only thing I could eat was cold fried eggs! The next morning I paid 20 baht and got freshly cooked fried rice from a street vendor - much nicer! All in al.
all reviews » The hotel is quite good, the staff suggested taking a windowless room which is more calm and quiet if we prefer to have a rest after a long journey. And it was a great idea. The AC is working seamlessly, so the window is not neccesssary if you just need a place to sleep in the very centre of Bangkok. And the swimming pool at the top is a good idea (if you can make it on time, as there is a lot to do and it is not easy to get home before midnight). When checking out you can leave the luggage in . The hotel is situated in the middle of khao San road, so there's cheap food and the nightlife of khaosan nearby. The room was nice and clean and since it was opposite to khaosan, pretty quiet. The staff is really friendly. The Khaosan road is far from the skytrain stations, which doesn't really matter, since almost every taxi driver knows khaosan and its really cheap to go by taxi. I would definitely stay here again. I loved the pool at the rooftop! That's a big positive aspect. Staff was very helpful and take a Thai massage next to the pool! It's almost for free. It was located in the centre of Khao San road, a very busy area in downtown Bangkok, but it had a wonderful quiet space on the roof to swim, have a drink and a spa. The rooms where good size and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Located in Kaosan Road which has been defined as the "centre of the backpacking universe". All around there are plenty of restaurants, shops, stands but many rooms overlook an internal courtyard, so you don't hear the noise coming from the street. It is also close to many historical attractions of the Old City and to the Phra Athit Pier to catch the Chao Phraya Express Boat. A perfect location for the day sightseeing and for the amazing nightlife of the neighborhood. The breakfast isn't really good, except you like spaghetti Bolognese for breakfast. Also the mattress is pretty hard. We had a room without window. And the room was smelling old and not fresh! You can get one towel, not more!. The bathroom needed a face lift!. The staff are very unfriendly, and not helpful at all. 500 Baht room deposit is a little annoying The hotel are very strict about bringing people up to the room. Breakfast was only from 7 am until 9.30 am. We were going on a trip and were being picked up at 7 am. so we asked the restaurant staff if we could come in at 6.50 am for a coffee or orange juice!! They were so rude - refused and ushered us out of the door!!. Breakfast served in sister hotel across the road. Only window in our superior room was in bathroom. One of the pricier backpackers on Khao San, but definitely worth it for the pool, free breakfast and cleanliness. if u don't like nightlife style, can't stay here, bcs this place is most for alcohol crazy ppl.. Our room was right above the loudest speaker which stayed on latest at night (and belonged to the hotel), breakfast was an odd mix of 'full english', salad and spag bol - not that peculiar actually if you've just arrived from a long haul flight. no fridge in the room,no parasols on the swimming pool,and no matras on the sun beds. No fridge in the room, no safe, room didn't get cleaned (but we were only there for 2 nights!). *The mattresses were covered in some plastic covers that make sweat a lot *We had to pay half of the price of the room late for only 2 hrs late check out. we had a room without window, loud birds singing in the patio. Crowded during breakfast. Very noisy hotel due to location but also other hotel members causing most of the noise!. Lighting in room is a bit gloomy. We stayed in a windowless room which was a suggested to us at reception (quieter) but with the air con on all night mainly just to circulate some air in the room, our room smelt like we were in a smokers den and after two nights stay my husband and I both had sore throats. The recliners on 7th floor need fixing. n/a. 1.Bit expensive for what it is. Only the pool distinguishes it from many hotels offering same for 600 baht. 2.Not being able to invite friends in to see our room. When it was busy the staff were a little short with us, and the struggled to find our reservation through letsbookhotel.com. The location is Koh San so unless you go to bed at 5am forget about sleeping. Staff. littlebit smelly room, like people have been smoking before me. Couldn't find booking for half an hour. Had to wait around. Nothing. Poor breakfast. Turned up at hotel and was told we should upgrade as the room we had was noisy and wouldn't be able to sleep. No mention of this on website when booking hotel. The pool was quite dirty.
