Booked a single room, got a huge double one. Checked in earlier than I expected. Excellent breakfast. The location, while not excellent, is very good - the bus/tram station is right in front of the hotel, with a tram ride to the center taking 7 minutes. I had no trouble getting there even late in the evening. Fast Internet (but requires you to log in each time). Good location. 8 stops by bus No.14 from Zurich HB main railway station. convenient to find super market and restaurant nearby. The staffs are friendly. The room is small and clearn, with sufficent function (esp. considering the reasonable price).
all reviews » The hotel is 20-25 minutes walk to Zurich Central station but the tram stop is just outside the hotel. The rooms are very clean and cosy. There is a small private parking but no guarantee that there will be a free space. Perfect hotel for business trips. Good connection with public transport to any corner of Zurich. The carpet in the room was somewhat dirty. The heating was not adequate (it was quite cold in the room in November) and there was no heating in the bathroom so it was even colder there. The doorway was only about 60 cm wide and we're not fat people! The tiny shower cubicle with it's clinging wet curtain was the worst, and it was difficult to keep the floor dry. As we departed, I suggested to the man on the desk that the bathrooms need refurbishment, but he wasn't very interested in my point of view. It's the one thing that really lets this hotel down. Compared with the fotos the room was smaller and the building is updated. the hotel was old and needs renovation ( but it was clean). very small room, old bathroom. in 3* hotel I expected a better breakfast. no Airco, it was really hot on the room ... Seemed like a very old hotel and even the breakfast was not as great as they described. very small room and bathroom limited TV channels and poor breakfast. No air conditioning in abject heat. found dirty male socks in my room, did not have internet for 30 hours +. The car parking place is very limited.
