  Excellent hotel from A-Z. As a frequent traveler i don't get overexcited easily, but this hotel really deserves the max points.   I can't say enough good about this place. The staff were all excellent, bending over backward to make our stay enjoyable. They hung a welcome sign on our room. They left a personally written welcome postcard in the room. When we arrived, they gave us a drink of our choice on the terrace and told us about Zermatt.   The staff was amazing. They promptly picked us up at the train station upon our arrival. We stayed there for seven days and where continually impressed! We had a few restaurants we wanted to eat at, but left the rest up to their recommendations. They made lunch and dinner reservations for us and every one was excellent! The break - Modern, comfortable and cozy hotel with Matterhorn views. A short walk from the center, fine for us as we preferred the quieter location. Make sure to book the complimentary transfer from the train station, the walk is a little uphill and can be slippery and difficult with luggage. The warm afternoon drinks on the patio was a perfect welcome. Saunas and hot tub were very relaxing after a day on the slopes. Good breakfast. As the first room we checked into did not have a view of the Matterhorn, with Raymond and Gerald's assistance, our room was changed for the second evening of our stay, which had an incredible view of the Matterhorn!   We were 13 nights in the hotel and had a fabulous time. It is a very nicely renovated hotel, modern but very user friendly. Rooms are spaceous and nicely decorated. Sauna was very complete for a hotel sauna. Massage should be pre booked in winter but are very good and can be recommended. Dinner was excellent as well as breakfast.
