We were 13 nights in the hotel and had a fabulous time. It is a very nicely renovated hotel, modern but very user friendly. Rooms are spaceous and nicely decorated. Sauna was very complete for a hotel sauna. Massage should be pre booked in winter but are very good and can be recommended. Dinner was excellent as well as breakfast. Location is great! Wine bar is really good. Really worth a visit.

Since December 2004, we have new our Spa and Well-being Alpine Refugium with services such as mountain flower steam-bath, sauna "Walliser Stube", Private Spa, outdoor Athrium, cosmetic treatments with "Edelweiss" products - nature base and SWISS GETAL “Cell Care”, massages and peelings, treatments for couples and as a highlight; the hot-stone herb bath. We recommend you make your appointments for treatments and massages before arrival.

Important information to guests

Please note that Zermatt is a car-free village. You can park your car in Täsch (indoor parking) and continue to Zermatt by train or taxi. Please inform the hotel of your estimated time of arrival. You will be picked up by the hotel's porter with an electric car at Zermatt Train Station. Please note further that dinner for the half-board rate is served at the Veranda Restaurant. It is available until 20:30. Please inform Hotel Mirabeau in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Information about the area

This idyllic mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn has developed into one of the biggest summer and winter resorts. There are no motorised vehicles in Zermatt. Besides electrically-powered cars and bicycles, the only form of transport allowed is horse-drawn sleighs and carriages.
You will find the best conditions here for a restful and relaxing holiday.

Room information details

The rooms have an Alpine ambiance and are spacious and comfortable with wood furniture. All rooms and bathrooms in the main building Mirabeau were newly renovated in Spring 2007.

Travelling information

Arrival by train: There are direct train connections from Brig and Visp to the modern narrow-gauge Matterhorn-Gotthard railway, which arrives in Zermatt after a 90-minute journey through the romantic, rugged Vispa Valley. Please inform the hotel about your arrival time and the porter will pick you up with the electric car at the train station of Zermatt. Arrival by car: Coordinates of Zermatt/Täsch: 46° 4 - 7° 45' After Täsch the car-free area begins. You have 2 possibilities: - Use the indoor and outdoor parking and the taxi driver of this parking will bring you to entrance of Zermatt, where the porter will pick you up with the electric car. - Park your car at the public parking facility (outdoor parking places only) and take the shuttle train to Zermatt. Call the hotel from Zermatt station (from the hotel information board, free of charge) and the porter will pick you up from Zermatt station.
