  Extremely friendly staff: We had booked a double room, but ended up having two kids with us. The hotel owner immediately - and unasked - changed our room to a 4 bed room, for the same price. They were very friendly and super engaged with the kids. Hotel is simple, but very clean, and has all you need.   really friendly, excellent value for money, clean nice room, tv with lots of British channels. Breakfast only 5.50 chf - bargain of the century and very good - fresh fruit, ham, cheese, fresh bread and croissants - As good as last time.   This is an outstanding little pearl of a small family-run mountain hotel, that we have had the pleasure of visiting for the second time. The service from the minute you check in to the moment you leave is of a very high standard and extremely personalised. You are greeted as a friend rather than a customer. The rooms are well renovated but kept in... what people say » the typical rustic alpine wooden architecture. Small but with all you need for your comfort. And the views from most rooms and balconies are to die f - The lady who helped us at check-in, dinner, breakfast, and check-out was the most friendly person we met on our 2-week trip. The food was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a very cozy mountain-cabin feel to it.

  Was indeed a splendid place to stay! Built in the 1930's, this building would certainly have been the grand dame in her day. The hotel staff were friendly, and we loved the olde worlde charm. The rooms were spacious and had nice chairs for taking in the views. The set menu for dinner was good value. They happily accommodated our vegetarian req... what people say » uest. Recommend to eat in the hotel dining room, because the walk into town does not reward you with many dining options. - Grand hotel with fantastic Views across to the St Bernard pass and Val Ferret from 2 balconies facing in different directions.

  My stay here was enjoyable. I had made the booking a few hours earlier which apparently hadn't come through on the hotel's end, but after a few minutes of confusion it was no problem. Depending on your room, there's a great view out over the lake.
