Situated on the shore of Lac de Champex, this traditional Alpine-style chalet offers a beach bar and a restaurant. The Champex gondola lift to La Breya is 700 metres away. The restaurant has traditional features such as carved wooden furniture, wood panels on the walls and cowbells and wooden beams in the ceiling. The Au Club is situated in Champex, 36 km from French border and 33 km from the Italian border.

My stay here was enjoyable. I had made the booking a few hours earlier which apparently hadn't come through on the hotel's end, but after a few minutes of confusion it was no problem. Depending on your room, there's a great view out over the lake. Everything was clean and well-kept, which is particularly impressive considering that most of the rooms are large dormitories with many beds. It's highly advisable to partake in the set dinner, it was delicious.
