The staff was gracious and extremely helpful and nice. very impressive. It was in a great position just set back from the lake, easy walking distance from the station and lots of cafes and restaurants and was great value - I spent a long time trying to find a suitable hotel and D'alleves was by far the cheapest in the bracket I was looking at (four star). Our room was fantastic with a spacious modern bathroom. I highly recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is very well located in a fairly quiet area, easy walk to Cornavin railway station and the old city.Well situated. Efficient staff and very pleasant hotel. quite area. A very cosy and calm hotel un the very heart of Geneva, 200 meters away from the lake and Rohne. Very frendly English-speaking staff, nice and quite stylish (apparently renovated) rooms with wooden joisting and canvas of an unknown painter on the ceiling. Breakfest is 30 CHF and inclues croissants, buffer with cheese, ham, jams, yogurts, tea and coffee. No hot meals served. convenient location; very home-like hotel, does not have usual formal approach to service, which is very good. eventhough in the middle of the centre the rooms are quiet , spacious and clean .With a fresh new bathroom !. Location was fantastic. Rooms, bathrooms very comfortable with a touch of luxury. The cost of breakfast was excessive.The car parking of this hotel is so complicated to reach. it's under the basement of a another Building at the backside of the hotel. Would have liked a bit more for breakfast, like some eggs/ham/bacon. Missed having some fruit with breakfast.prices in Geneva :D. There's a bit of work going on currently on the lower floors, which makes for a noisy morning....Reception looks a bit old, price seems to me high but compared to price level in Geneva it is acceptable. hardly any facilities outside the room. I always stay in the hotel and I really like it, but I think they shouldhave a new lift, as the one available is old,small and very often out ofservice and the rate is really high for the hotel. Price. Room was a bit dated. Did not like the carpet and soft furnishings. Had viewed a much more modern room and was disappointed with the room allocated for my stay. staff not professional, rooms furnishing and comfort.This is meant to be a four star hotel, it had no bar . The restaurant was only open for breakfast. The hotel was tired and needed refurbishment. The double bed was two small twins pushed together .Plusses , room was bright and modern.

In 1951, the bar 'le coq rouge' was inaugurated by Mr. Bernard D'Alleves. In 1997 a meeting spot was opened.

Around 1955, the opening of restaurant 'le Mazot' marked the life of Mr. D'Alleves. His sole aim being to please his guests and their various tastes, he managed to create a genevian and international meeting spot. Keeping its style and high level of service, the restaurant does not cease to awaken the curiosity of the people of Geneva and the entire world.
