I stayed here because the other hotels were outrageously expensive during the week in Geneva and there were 2 UN conferences so much was booked out. It turned out to be fine. I booked a double room, as that was all that was available, and thus had actually a corner room with 3 windows and plenty of space. The hotel is plain and functional. It was ok as I was there for 2 nights on business and just needed a bed and a clean place to stay. The location near the train station is excellent so easy .
all reviews » The location is very central. Close to the lake, so with just a few steps, you can have a fantastic view of the lake. Price is a value for money (considering how Switzerland is very expensive) because the room is very comfortable to stay in. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Do ask them for a city bus pass cause that helped us a lot!. The location, so close-by the main Geneva train station, was definitely an asset for arriving/departing from the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable, with huge windows letting in a lot of light. Staff was courteous and helpful. Would stay here again. The staff and Location are perfect. the hotel is located 2 minutes walk from the Central Cornavin station and less than 10 minutes away from Geneva lake. The staff are extremely helpful and they always try to assist in any possible way. Price for a room; even price for internet was much lower than elsewhere. While the room was not chic, all was clean. No noise interfering sleep in spite of busy street next door (I got a room with windows to inner yard). I found the room fine for our purposes as it was just for an overnight stay in Geneva. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful and the breakfast had a nice variety. The location and price. We were there during mid 30s heat and there was no aircon or fan. Street noise unbearable if you opened the window. Cut price parking at the station good. Rooms adequate. The hotel was much more than I was expecting. The beds were great and the room was quaint. Compared to the rest of the hotels nearby which cost three times as much, this was a great value!. It's near all touristic spots on foot and is near the public transportation services (tram, bus, metro, train). Near train station, very convenience. Breakfast was quite limited but not bad at all. Breakfast could improve with not much greater effort. Whole grain bread, boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit would not be too costly and would provide a decent breakfast. breakfast not included and too expensive. Shower not the best but ok for one night only. The lift is quite small if you have a group more than 3 adults with luggage. no free wifi. I have nothing to complain about. the window must be closed for all the time inspite of the climate & non air-conditining. Small room and old furniture. We have been offered the level two room, it's very noisy and hard to sleep over night. WiFi will cost you some 10CHF for 24 hrs. Nothing. no air condition. No fridge and kettle at the hotel's room. You may consider improving on the breakfast by adding eggs may be bacon etc. Very basic accommodation ! Very old lift and fire-escape facility not very good...we were on the 5th floor ! We asked for extra pillows...and were told not available as hotel was full !! not what you expect for £150 per night !!. traffic noise may be a problem for some. and the floors and walls seem thin and don't filter neighbours sound well. The lever to lift the sink plug was missing - this should have been reported in basic houskeeping. The bed was very soft. No wifi. The room door lock was loose and difficult to operate. The shower took a long time to heat up, but once hot was fine. Rooms furnitures are so old for the payed price :130€/night, without chance to have a single use rate. Baths are small ( around 6-8m2, could be), and you can find a white label basic amenities set, enough if you are travelling for business, but not for pleasure. Breakfast - served on the same place of an old room, it was a new experience for me - could be better, but this is a personal opinion. I could recommend this hotel for economic and business travels...if they descend their price.. There is no AC and in summers the windows need to kept open for some ventilation...and this makes the room quite noisy. There was a constant chatter below the room..on the stree..which was irritating. The price was too high for what it is, although it was still one of the cheapest in Geneva. A little bit noisy. The hotel needs modernation - there were some problems with turning on the light in bathroom, for example. Very simple colourless rooms. The white walls and doors create a feeling like it was a hospital before. now changed into a hotel. Not much choice for breakfast. Mattress was terrible. Bed and pillow to soft. Noisy inside (alot of banging doors). And very nosiy outside. However with window shut the majority of noise was removed, but would be very hot in room during hot weather. bathroom taps need to be replaced/refurbished (and door hinges oiled as a nearby door could be heard squealing frequently). noisy street, a little hot in early July without air condition, you can't open window because of the noise.
