Our luggage was lost by Swiss Air, and the hotel office staffworked very hard to try to find it (The Swiss Air people were notnearly as helpful).The friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Staff, they provide daily travel card, normal size of double room, brekfast was not bed, location is exellent (train station, aeroport bus stop is around the corner - bus goes from 4:40 AM). The spartan room was nice and clean, but the rooms have such paper-thin walls that you hear even a whisper from your neighbouring rooms.There is no hairdryer. You can hardly sleep with the window open. - internet prices way too high. - the hotel name (Moderne) does not reflect the state of the hotel. it needs a good renovation. the state of the rooms are not very good.The Lift room is very small, hardly 2 persons can be accommodated. Cleanliness requires improvement, especially toilet. The room was desagreable. In the bathroom was very cold, beacourse the window is no good. The hotel is old.Noisy. Bedsheet dirty 3. No re-fill of shampoo etc.No air condition. The Hotel was very uncomfortable.very run down and drab - even dirty ; not very good breakfast ; not at all 'Moderne'. The rating of this hotel as as 3 star is misleading - once you get into your room it is clearly only 1-star. The decor is in much need of repair and the furniture is very poor. Complaints to the management at the time of checking out were not satisfactorily dealt with and correspondence since has been ignored.
