  Me and my friend visited this hotel in March of 2013th. Great european place nearby Indian Ocean! Wonderful design of a court yard, clean rooms and halls, very good service, polite people helped us with everything we needed. Very quiet place, not far from local pubs, restaurants. The gates at the entrance and the doors make the plac - The service was really great. It's a very kind family, they give you a lot of time and they help you with all your questions and needs. The breakfast is very nice and the atmosphere is also really nice. They make you feel very welcome. It's not a luxury hotel, but is is very gozy and nice decorated in Sri Lankan style, and not expensive at all.

  Amaya is a great little guesthouse with a friendly and helpful owner. We arrived late from the airport and had not been able to receive texts that the owner had sent, so he thought we weren't coming. He was still there to welcome us and show us around quickly despite the time. Rooms are basic but clean, as was the shared bathroom. About 20 minutes... what people say » from the airport so a good location if you want somewhere cheap, clean and friendly to kick start your stay that isn't Colombo. Lovely garden, free W - The rooms were clean, spacious and well-ventilated, with all the basic amenties (including wi-fi) required for a comfortable stay. The owner, Mr.Manoj Fernando, is a friendly and courteous person. He also helped us plan our further itinerary to other locations in SL and made the requisite arrangements for us. We had a wonderful time exploring SL, thanks to him. All in all, I would strongly recommend Amaya Chalets for your stay in Negombo. You would be delighted beyond your expectations!

  I stayed at Blue Horizon just for one night after a long plane journey. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, more than happy to answer your questions and help you arrange taxi's etc. It is a 5min walk to the beach and various shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious..continental with a fresh fruit platter...I was given a - The location was relatively easy to find which helped a lot since we touched down pretty late in the night. Very nicely decorated and staffs were very friendly! We even had a nice patio where we had our supper (we bought our own food on the way there). Wifi connection was good and mosquito nets provided. Breakfast was quite a spread and the staffs even asked us to pack the fruits for the road. Although we didnt pack them, we liked very much that they were welcoming and generous! 2 thumbs up ;
