Spaciousness and layout of the room. Although the hotel was old (and currently being renovated) it was clean and comfortable, nothing particularly distressing. Breakfast was good, though it's debatable whether it's worth the R130 you can save if you choose not to have it.it's nearby or close to the waterfront,convention national centre,city centre and reassuring location.

Not all the staff are well-verses in English. The bathroom fitting are very old, with the bath-shower mechanism not working properly.Service!!!! Waited more than an hour for room service. Waited more than hour for Toothpaste / brush which they said they had, then as I went to fetch myself, they did not have and I had to drive around to find some. The rates initially charged were much more than per the booking.com rates and I had to request another invoice to reflect the correct amount. I used bath once and it has never been cleaned since then and I had to use the shower of which I had to bend because it is not suitable for tall persons. The shuttle service did not arrive at the airport. The lifts in the hotel were not very reliable.Service; Facilities; Staff frienliness - and I have stayed in over 100 hotels around the world. This has to me amongst the worst 3!. Nobody at time of booking said that the hotel was going through renovations, I was absolutely horrified to find that I had booked into a construction site! Definately will not be recommending this hotel.
