Everything. From the time we stepped in (was my second stay there this year) everything went super smooth. I booked a regular double with patio view but was upgraded to 2-level room with the Moika channel view (cannot thank the hotel staff enough for that!). I don't know if this room is worth its original price (probably yes), but because I was upgraded it was pleasant even more. With 2 floors and 2 entrances on different floors you feel like you're a special guest. Add to that 2 TVs, a private.
all reviews » This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel and I will definitely come back again. Location is terrific! All the main attractions and sights are within the walking distance. The room was spacious, well-furnished and clean (both of the times). The superior double was huge, the bathroom itself was the size of a regular room! The extra room, for the lifestyle suite, should have had a couch instead of gym equipment so that you could relax there instead of on the bed. We believe price for breakfast is too high. There is a plenty of small cosy cafes around St.Isaac square so hotel is at risk of loosing of all clients.. The view ws into a courtyard rather than facing the city.At check-out the clerk informed me of a mini-bar charge but removed it right away when I said I used nothing from the mini-bar. Breakfast is not bad, but not the way we expected to be. Russian hotels usually have tasty pancakes, here they were average. If something finished, it was not added. The first thing they were doing when it was 10:30 (time when breakfast ends) was taking away all the food, while they could clean tables and many other things. It was a little bit annoying. It's not a short distance from the nearest metro station to the hotel, so be prepared for at least 10 minutes walk. On the other hand there are a lot of sights nearby and a perfect view to the Moika river from the windows. Nothing we can think of. The bar and the restaurant should be rethought and redesigned. Changing all 30 channels -didn`t find music on TV (on MTV -only films) But on holidays want mood with help of music not information like business channels. All this - only recommendations and not critics. Euro 30 per person breakfast not included in price. That is over the top. Lots of nice breafast places in the neighborhood instead. Just the cold weather. the only imperfection - coffee in the room. also breakfast was highly overpriced, but this is common for many hotels. Very expensive food: breakfast and dinner. I will recommend do not have it in the hotel. Breakfast service was poor. The food was fine. It was just understaffed. Both mornings we turned up to breakfast and there were no clean tables. Also, the buffet ran out of coffee one morning and wasn't replaced. The few staff that were there were good but completely rushed off their feet. Thought the charge for a five year old on a fold-out bed in our room was a bit much. a little overpriced breakfast. Taxi service rates were not explained well by concierge. I am a coffee aficionada but had to switch to tea!. I wish they would have staying for hours. Breakfast very expensive.
