The location is superb - it's one block from the Church on Spilled Blood, and the Main Street Nevsky Prospekt, and 5 min walk to the Hermitage / Winter Palace.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and keep the hostel very clean.
We liked it so much (and found so much to do in St Petersburg) that we stayed a second week, and have already recommended it to other travellers. Thanks Natasha, Lena and Jane!

As a hostel it is excellent, very clean, with nice design, very cosy, perfect location, tea available at any time, perfect wi-fi internet, very good cushions. You can buy original souvenirs at good price. The pancakes are served only at weekends and they are gorgeous! Other days the breakfast is quite poor.

I guess it's a former "nobility" appartment now rearranged as a hostel, one can see decorations on the ceiling etc. The room was really spacious, the place is very quiet, cosy and well decorated, did not expect that of a hostel :).There is only one bathroom, but this was no problem. Excellent! The double room with Santa Clause on the fenster is very cosy. Plenty of space, good pillows, huge blanket, 4 spacy shower rooms - it all makes a good proof for the hostels' slogan Feels like home. Simplehostel made my staying quite memorable. And I did SLEEP WELL indeed :)

Natalia was very friendly and helpful from the outset. I had booked a single room and had no concerns about security because the front door was always locked and Natalia was always on site. The wi-fi worked in my room and elsewhere in the hostel - and I had full use of the facilities such as cooker/fridge/microwave/washing machine and iron/ironing

The location is perfect, not far from the Moskovskiy railway station and very close to many places of interest in the city center. Prices are valuable, and for this money you can find all services you need. And Natalia (administrator) is very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this hostel to single travellers as well as to couples and groups.
PS: and also there is a very nice white cat Bianka living in the hostel!
