Very friendly personal which is very helpful in every thing. I had no problems with the language the most of them speak English and if not it should not be a big deal, common your on holiday. Challenge yourself that makes travelling an adventure. It's right that the Hotel is quite 'old school' but that gives the hotel a certain charm. I can confirm that the breakfast is awesome. You get more for you money than you expect. I had a very good internet connection in my room all the time and it is f.
all reviews » I really liked this place. On the outside it looks worn down, but inside it is a nice, clean place. The style is very retro, like taking a trip to the past. The price is excellent. The breakfast was great. The staff is helpful. The location is close to the train station. I would go back. This was an ex Orbis Hotel - one of the very limited hotels one could stay in during the old Communist state days of Poland - interesting to see it hasn't changed that much (even old retro 'nightclub' remains. Functional but no complaints at all. Comfortable, clean room and bathroom, polite friendly stuff. Very good breakfast. We have seen(with my wife) 3,4-star-hotel much worse , than that one. I recommend this hotel. Everything was grate. Not at all glamorous but excellent value and location. Room kept warm in deep mid-winter and seemed to have been recently painted. Reception staff were attentive and all spoke perfect English. 1) location is more then perfect 2) value for money is very good - it is impossible to find anything similar in this location at this price. 3) staff is very nice 4) breakfast was very tasty. - my room very clean & comfortable, - friendly and helpful staff, - very good food selection for breakfast, - relaxing atmosphere, - easy access anywhere in the city, by taxi, by bus. Lack of power sockets in the room. -lingering smoky smell in non-smoking room -loud construction outside all night (August 2013) -I saw three silverfish, but they are harmless, so that is not so bad. The bed is old and too soft. Urgently needs replacing. The person who cleaned the room did not clean it properly. We found a cigarette butt under the couch along with a thick layer of dust around it. layout of the room. they had ran out of soup in restaraunt at 20.00 ?? strange one. When I have arrived, Reception denied me a parking space. This was an unexpected and unacceptable surprise for me. Finally space was found when I have stated that I will not stay if not available. Old building, old rooms, doors, elevators and carpets (but clean and well maintened) - not the worst part. Lack of air-conditioning is a serious issue in the summer. Cleanliness is rather poor. Old style furniture and rugs. creaky bed no kettle in room to make a brew. The lack of air conditioning in the beginning of August; the loud roadworks/noise. Very basic hotel, breakfast poor. Not for a long stay for sure... But if I have a choice again, sertainly will choos a hostel: more cheep and nice for 1 night. Very cheep hotel like from "Back in USSR" :))).
