the hotel is very clean, and near to the central station, check-in made by machine, which saves the employment fee
close to the city center, easy self-help check-in and check-out system.
I really can't fault this hotel. Oslo seems to be a particularly expensive place to find accommodation. Citybox seemed the best value for money I could find. The room I had, though compact, was extremely comfortable. I had a great night's sleep here and that's whats important.

The bed sheets were covered with other peoples hair, that was quite disgusting. I would advice to the staff to pay more attention to that point, its not ok to have it like that.

The location is really convenient. Only 5mins walk to central railway station where also has many buse, trams, and tubes. You can walk to many landscapes.
It was not quite convenient to have hot water.
The location is perfect and the pice is excellent. The room was so cleverly designed and immaculate. Self service is easy, and I was able to leave my luggage while I toured the day that I left. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean & a good size for double room. Heated bathroom floors were amazing after coming in from the cold! Really close to centre, 5/10 mins walking with shops/cafés en route

The check in centers were not working and when you pushed the buzzer to get the attention of the person inside they never came to the door You had to wait until someone left to get in. It was nice they had a luggage room but they office buzzes the door open and noone is there to supervise your bags Its a open room and you leave at your own risk
Loved the design under a budget; the bed and pillows were most comfortable. Great shower. Loved the ease of checking in and out with no trouble. And loved loved loved the location.

The room we were in could be better described as a closet. And ALL the towels we were given were covered in HAIRS! Disgusting! Also, the wifi connection wasn't very stable

Second time now in City Box Hotel, excellent location and small but very clean rooms. For business and short stays a perfect spot.
All of the above noted items plus quiet room with windows that open for air not street noise, and the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms attractive and very functional, and good wifi.

It was good value for money, certainly in terms of Oslo. If I came back, I'd probably stay here again.
I should note that the only reason I have the staff down as only 'fair' is that I never saw any - seems like pretty much everything's automated, including check out and check in. The location was a little bit shady - I actually got propositioned by a prostitute on my way home one night!
Staff were very nice and helpful. The location is really good, just a few minutes from the central station and the main street. The room was very clean.
Value for money
There was no TV in room, made for quiet evenings... I understand that's probably part and parcel of the no-frills low pricing.
I didnt meet any staff at my stay... therefore i cannot rate the staff :)

Great Location, the hotel is located very close to the station and just off the main street. The rooms were clean and the bed linen and towels appeared clean and fresh.
This is not a negative as it says it in the information but the rooms are compact. We had a small double and the only way the person on the inside could get out of bed was climbing over the other person. There was no storage in the room apart from a few hooks on the wall. If you are staying for more than a couple of nights I would go for the bigger rooms (did not see these so no idea of the size)
