Roslyn apartments were fantastic. The kitchen it fully decked out with all the pots, pans, baking dishes and utensils you could need. I felt like I was back at home in my own kitchen! But if you don't like to cook on holiday, there's some amazing restaurants a 2 minute walk up the street, as well as a supermarket. Only 3 minutes from the town centre it was the perfect location with a beautiful view and the staff are very knowledgeable about the area if you're not sure what to do with your time.
all reviews » Apartment had everything you could ask for - it was living in a home from home - with all amenities. Great to be able to do washing during a long trip overseas. Undisturbed quiet atmosphere with great views of the city and Otago Bay. And close to shops and nice restaurants. Helpful but unobtrusive owners and even a cute cat. My wife, daughter and I stayed here for three nights, with other family members staying in adjoining apartments. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, sylish and well heated. Stunning views out over Dunedin City and the harbour, with 2 supermarkets and great cafes in very easing walking distance. Enjoyed the quietness. The view, the location, the apartment was well appointed, the bed was amazingly comfortable. We liked it all! This is a great place to stay, a bit out of the way, but close to shops, and an easy walk to Dunedin (slightly harder to come back uphill, but good exercise). We had a great stay. Lovely clean apartments On top of hill facing the harbour Parking is easy Near shops & amenities & Dunedin city centre Wi-fi is good Host waited for us eventough we arrived late nite after 7pm to check-in & we feel welcome. Nice apartment with full kitchen, which we like very much! The location is close to city center, around 20 mins walk. The facility is nice and clean. Owners went over & above call of duty when I got caught by the snow to the extent they lent me a thick jacket as I was totally caught unprepared. Staff went out of way to be helpful even after we left as my sister left articles which were promptly returned. Great views over the City and a very quick trip down into the City. Appartment well apointed. Friendly owners. Placed above the city wonderful birds eye view and overall aspect. interesting walk down to the city centre. This is not to do with the hotel itself but as Roslyn is on a steep hill (hence the great views) you are reliant on a bus service (which in Dunedin is extremely confusing to say the least) or taxis to get back from the centre if you don't have a car, Be aware if you have lots of luggage or mobility issues. But don't be put off staying up on this hill - most of Dunedin is very hilly!. Parking only just OK - not an allocated space for each apartment and manouvering a little difficult with a bigger vehicle. Only a minor quibble though. nothing. Nothing. only 1 toilet for a two bedroom. Beds a bit soft and lumpy. found the list of does and don't does rather confronting. I think for the price it could be cleaned each day and that when advertising it identifies that one of the rooms is two single beds as we went as two couples. A little bit expensive by Dunedin standards. N/A. noises from upstairs apartment ( someone keep running at night). Shower in the bath, not easy for older people. Nothing, absolutely nothing. Had to pay extra for son, then paid extra for better room. The room was not booked,so it became extra expense. Usually upgrades are free if there's no one staying in them. No SKY TV. No shampoo provided and towels not replenished daily or sufficient towels in appartment for the 5 days we stayed. For the money, I expect that level of service. Also only cleaned weekly -twice weekly would be more appropriate when people are staying longer than 2 days. Parking was limited. Only apartment I know that actually indicated that there will be additional charges incurred if you left the kitchen messy or with a string smell upon checkout. location.
