Close to town we just rolled home.Great little Thai restaurant just down the road.Very nice facilities.loved the kitchen and we cooked a couple of times during our stay. Great sleep,no noise from the city.Towels for ever, I loved them. Shower superb.Music to sleep with thru the sound system fabulous Location location location xoxo. We were staying with our two adult daughters one of whom was graduating from the University of Otago. The apartment had plenty of space and two decent bathrooms. The living area was upstairs and was spacious enough for us to entertain their friends. It is so handy to the Octagon and in terms of graduation this was ideal.
all reviews » Loved the modern interior. The heated floor and towel railings were fantastic ! Comfy beds, and loved the window view of the steep streets. Clean and comfortable stay. Shower jet sprays were great fun. Ideal location to tour the city, so close to shops and restaurants and pubs. Great city and great tidy place to stay. We loved everything about the apartments. Everything we needed to cater for our family. Amazing comfort everything has been thought of from comfy beds, plenty of lounge suits to under floor bathroom heating. Amazing quality of finishes. Architecture and interior design wonderful. Really pleasant feeling in the apartment. Everything clean and tidy. Right in the middle of the city so we could walk most places. Close to take aways, and restaurants. The apartment was beautiful and spacious. It was pretty close to the cbd and restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. The bathrooms were wonderful with heated tiles and the kitchen was well appointed. The closeness to shopping, retaurants etc right in the heart of the city - the fact it was an old church, making it different & unique, this was the hook for me - nice interior - nice conversion -. Very spacious and clean. luxurious interior,friendly staff. Only issue was the fridge was faulty, and we had to put our drinks in the freezer. We left a note letting them know. Excellent location. Beautiful apartment everything included. Had a problem over the rates and the owner sorted immediately great place to stay would definitely stay again. Nice renovation. Generally speaking they provided all necessary. Trouble connecting to wifi but Jon came over asap and we rebooted modem and worked good thereafter. Beautiful building - an old chapel changed into apartments - comfortable bedrooms, large living area, luxurious fittings, warm heating, very central location. Everything about the Chapel apartments was fantastic. very interesting place. very spacious and character. The Spa Shower, Massage Chair, convenience to shops. Layout style and location of apartment. The stairs to the bedroom were awkward as I had a dickie knee.I Slipped on the hill walking to town and scraped my knee, bugger.The parking a little difficult if you weren't quick enough. Im assuming the windows were the original church windows, so seal was not good and a lot of noise that came thru at night from the backpackers walking up the street to the hostel. Maybe new windows or double glazing would help??. The showers looked incredibly fancy but we're difficult to use and fiddly and often didn't work properly. The tv was also not so great with limited channels. Security was also a bit lax with our late check- in meaning the apartment door was left wide open. There was also no parking available except for on a really steep hill. Jon (the manager) did, however, say guests could park in the Wilson's car park across the road and he would reimburse the cost. Probably a little overpriced - noise problem - no sky channels - they need to check lightbulbs 1 x faulty light however 3 blown bulbs but this was minor, just a small thing to check on - carparking could be a problem if totally full. Parking was dicey as they have 4 spots for 7 apts but would pay to park in parade across street or on street during no charge times. The fire alarm was faulty and was beeping and buzzing all weekend despite our contacting the owner and a tradesperson calling in to fix it. (He didn't) No refund offered for the noisy inconvenience!. It was all good. Not having a toilet in one of the ensuite. Internet access would only be picked up in certain areas of the apartment. followed instructions but had no luck using the washing machine. The one tiny problem was a fluctuation in the water temperature when showering. Not a big deal though. nothing. Did not see any one. So cannot comment on service. being close to town - bit noisy. Would have preferred having someone in person to check us in. Someone pinched the parking spot right outside our apartment door. Made all access difficult. Main bathroom steamed up incredibly. Parking a little difficult because we had a mini van, but that is minor. Kitchen was not equipped for cooking for a large group e.g. baking dishes or large pots to cater for cooking for 7plus people. Poor parking facilities. No Parking. Very hard to get hold off staff only bumped into one member in six days, landlord very hard to get hold of.
