We have attended a medical meeting for few days in a near by hotel function room. We stayed in Waldorf St Martins as it was only 100 m from the function venue and about 40% cheaper. We did not expect too much as we were mainly after a cheaper rate. What a surprise. We share a modern, nicely equipped 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen,laundry, veranda and great great views.The St Martins apartments Hotel was modern, quite upmarket with great security and very friendly reception and service. all reviews » We drove from Hamilton to Auckland with thew boys to see Disney On Ice and somehow when we arrive to our serviced apartments our reservation disappeared. We book on the spot with wotif another serviced apartment- Waldorf St Martins. We were lucky, very lucky. Our 2 bedroom apartment which costs us about $15 less than the other hotel was modern,much larger than the other place we use to say in our Auckland visits, more modern and nicely furnished. We had a kitchen, laundry and great veranda wit. We stayed in St. Martins Waldorf Apartments hotel for 4 nights as part of my regular business trip to Auckland . This is a modern & spacious 2 bedroom apartment accommodation with full kitchen, laundry nice veranda with view. The complex location is good - walking to the Domain and the nearby Newmarket areas and still only 600 m from Auckland Hospital that we have attended various meeting during my visit. Very polite and accommodating front desk service and the daily rate we paid was very . Central Auckland City location, jut 700 m from Queen Street, 900 m from the Domain and Newmarket, great views from the veranda over the Grafton Gully and Auckland City and the water areas, Our 2 bedroom hotel apartment in the 16 floor was very modern, spacious, spotless cleaned and fully furnished and equipped including linen, full kitchen and laundry. The complex facilities which include pool, high speed internet ,gym and 24 hours security were very good.Good value for family stay,Recommended. The service from the front reception staff was great, very welcoming when I checked in and made me feel at ease. The cleanliness of the room I was in was amazing. The whole room was great and it suited what I needed for my trip to Auckland - the view on the 18th floor was amazing, just to my liking. The young man at the reception, very early on Monday 30 Sept, did not take his had out of his pocket the whole time he interacted with me - rather diffident approach to say the least. Three persons needed ore than 5 normal tea sachets!!!! Very hilly - neeed to put this on website that teh access is up a steep hill. We enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf. The apartment was excellent with two separate bedrooms and kitchen facilities. It was hard to find affordable accommodation with inner city location to suit a grown family - this suited our needs and budget perfectly. Breakfast at $10 each was good too. Would highly recommend... The room's were very well equipped, everything you need. Good quality furniture and fittings. Super clean and tidy. The staff were polite and very easy to deal with. Check in and out was a breeze. Views of the museum and city landscape were great. Great nearby cheap evening parking during the weekend. It is central, so is an easy walk to where ever you want to go in the city. I liked that it had its own kitchen. This kept the cost of our stay down, as we were able to cook our own food, instead of buying and we didn't have the inconvenience of having to use a communal kitchen. it was also quiet. Staff were very nice when checking in & out, room was nice with comfortable bed & all amenities close by i.e. restaurants, shops etc, we had a great view of the sky tower & Auckland city from our room which was nice, Good value for money. Would stay here again. Great to have 2 separate bedrooms and full kitchen & laundry facilities. Opening windows are great as we don't like being stuck in rooms with only air-con. Staff were helpful. The entry & exit to the underground parking a challange if you have a larger vehicle I would suggest requesting an outside park if possible. Parking underground was too tight for my landcruiser. I could have made it in- but wasn't comfortable. Tight turn on a slope with a low ceiling height. Was outdoor pay park just 100 mtrs down the road which was fine. Everything fine. Getting in and out with a car is a challenge. The neighborhood although quit good for local restaurants etc. is a bit removed from the center of things. A fair distance from the ferry wharf with a taxi costing $20. The entry to the car park is challenging, so if you have a hire car, make sure you have maximum insurance! Wifi is overpriced. shower curtain in the apartment - bathroom floor wet every time after a shower. No food near-by for a Sunday late arrival. Staff were generally helpful but misled me about transport to the airport. Daily changes of towels, would be great but I did go and get some fresh ones. No tv in the master bedroom seemed a bit mean, especially how everything was there. Breakfast staff were very busy and did not have time to be helpful or friendly. (Not a dislike but a caution for fellow travellers) Only those who are used to manoeuvring in tight spaces should park in the car park. No air conditioning and the windows open on an angle that allows all the city noise to flood in all night - if the rooms had air con the place would get top review from us. we had a wee issue with parking - we had hired a Toyota Highlander as we were touring the North Islands with friends from the UK - the car park at the hotel is under ground and down a very steep angled drive - the Highlander would not fit !!! The gentleman from reception came out to assist and advise - we eventually parked in a public car park just around the corner - price wise $2 more a day than the hotel parking. Access road was hard to get into. And the car park was a tight, tight turn to get in. some plates had not been washed properly and had been put away wet with food still on them. Glad we brought the smaller car as the car park is pretty tight. Down quite a steep road, so access for elderly a wee bit of an issue. getting into the car park was a bit of a mission, as space is very tight, No liquid soap in the bathroom dispenser, and although I paid for all three rooms, my husband and I were allocated the smallest room, which I didn't appreciate. All though they did state that they didn't clean everyday I still would've liked clean towels daily but the staff were great to help us out. Oh and just a heads up they really do have small car parks so be sure to take the measurements they have on their page ok I'm glad we did.... No free wi-fi. windows didnt close tight so a little noisy. short on extra blankets as was quite cool with breeze coming in thru windows gaps. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open and we booked this hotel for the pool When booking that is the first thing that we look for as I swim each morning. Also no air conditioning when the room and the hallways were really hot. At times the room was quite noisy there seemed to be a large amount of wind sound in the corridor. Other than that it was great. Parking is tight but once you get used to driving through the entrance it gets easier. The balcony door didn't have a latch to keep it open and it was quite windy and warm so needed some ventilation. It would have been nice to latch it open. Parking on the street was a slight problem as we were not prepared to pay fee for hotel carpark. Maybe hotel could arrange a special overnight deal with one of the Wilson carparks nearby. Very warm room, no aircon Garage traffic lights were not working correctly. Small apartments. Not having access to other floors that our family were staying on. Was not told by reception initially that we could program our cards to do so. Very inconvenient and time wasting. No air con. Way too hot in our room when we arrived. Staff left out important things to tell us. Getting to our parking spot was difficult as the way was so tight. Parking expensive. No cooked breakfast option but a nice cold selection. carparking. For a superior room everything was a little bit tired looking. No bath, no soap in the soap dispenser, tiny bathroom considering the size of the apartment. It also wasn't a particularly 'homely' apartment - very sparse, some 'soft' furnishings would help.
