In a 7-minute walk you can reach Dam Square and the beginning of the Kalverstraat shopping street.

The owners - Rachel and Pepijn were absolutely fabulous! We arrived very early in the morning but they arrived to let us in (they live off-site but very close by) and we were fortunate to have our room available to us. They also helped with restaurant recommendations and reservations, canal tours, and museum tickets. The rooms were very comfortable and they were even able to accommodate my husband's allergy to down duvets and pillows. The breakfast served was wonderful - more than enough to get.
all reviews » This is a lovely old traditional canalside building (with just 6 rooms) that has benefitted from internal works that guarantee a quiet and comfortable stay. The bed linens are gorgeous and complementary drinks, snacks and WiFi are a rare touch at this price. The relaxing breakfast is a wonderful start to the day. Tickets can be purchased for the major museums so you can avoid queues; bikes (both European and uk brake styles) can be hired if you dare to pedal off. The location is perfect - close. We stayed in the Wonders Room which was fantastic didn't hear a sound outside considering one of the nights there was a big storm ... dressing gowns in your room which is handy! The owners very nice and friendly lovely bottle of Prosecco and chocolates waiting in our room on arrival really nice touch!!! Tea and coffee facilities and mini-bar that you don't have to pay for (minerals, crisps, bar, juices, bottle of Heineken) which is fantastic - breakfast very tasty!!!! Great location in the centrum of the city (5 minutes walking from Dam square), comfortable and spacious room with all the amenities you need: Espresso machine, robe, free mini bar and even an iron, tasty and satisfying breakfast. However we were stupid and didn't turn on the white noise machine until the second night. That made a world of difference and as a result I would choose a canal room again. Nothing. The only negative feedback I have is the shower curtains, they were still very clean but I find shower curtains in general a pain. Can't complain though!!. Nothing. We would stay again when we come to Amsterdam. Nothing. Nothing. Be prepared for the staircase!. Owner is unfriendly and rude and does understand the concept of guest service. Upon arrival he immediately shouted at us because there was a mixup with the taxi that had been arranged to pick us up at the airport. And he continued to do this for some minutes. What a welcome! Avoid this hotel or risk having your holiday completely soured before it starts.
