Such friendly people, no problem with getting back at midnight, there was always someone to open the front door with a smile. Delicious and copious breakfast, with yogurt, Moroccan pancakes, coffee and milk "à volonté", and a large, freshly made mug of delicious orange juice. My room was spotlessly clean. The decoration is Moroccan in style with multicoloured floor tiles, alcoves and plush settees in the living rooms. My room was very reasonably priced (55 euros/night) compared to alternatives .

Rooms were really well furnished with the most comfortable bed I have slept in in Morocco in 7 days of travelling. Nice common areas. Good WiFi. Really good breakfast in the morning. Dar yanis is a lovely Riad in the centre of the medina- we were only supposed to stay one night but ended up staying for two. The staff were extremely helpful and were always on hand if we needed something. Our room was on the terrace which was great- we felt like we had our own little terrace and the room was lovely. I would recommend Dar Yanis and Rabat we had a great time. This was the second time I stayed at the riad, I have stayed in each one of the terrace rooms on the roof, they are very nice rooms, very quiet, the wifi is good, and the beds are comfortable, the owners are very nice people, they have a very nice breakfast in the morning, I would stay there again whenever i'm in Morocco, it's located in the old Medina which is very nice. - really really nice owner and staff! - we stayed in the jasmin room: directly on the rooftop, meaning a lot more fresh air than the rooms inside the riad - BREAKFAST!! we never managed to eat it all. they even carried everything up tp the rooftop for us - we got extra towels for the beach - owner gave us a map with lots of good places to eat - not far from trainstation. Very central, in the side street of one of the main streets of the medina. Exceptionally clean, the biggest breakfast we had so far, new shampoo and soap in our bathroom everyday. They sent us a mail in advance where they described the way from either airport, bus station or train to their Riad very detailed and once we arrived welcomed us with tea and cookies. It's very nice, small, pretty designed, national-styled and cozy. Location in Medina but close to exit to town street, safe and silent place. English-speaking very friendly staff. Absolute value for money! Local family owned and managed. Best national sweets we've tasted in Morocco are complimentary! Good choice to have local experience without risk. Dar Yanis is definitely one of the best riads I've stayed in Morocco. Conveniently located in the heart of the medina of beautiful Rabat, and yet easy to find and reach by a 10 min walk from the train station. Helpful and friendly staff, we even received a present at the end of our stay :) The breakfast was good and abundant. This hotel, ran by two sisters is excellent for your trip to Rabat! The two girls are just too friendly and will give you all the information you need. The hotel has an Marocan atmosphere and you receive minth thee and cookies when you arrive. No extractor fan in the bathroom so it got a bit humid in the room after showers but opening the window solved it. Directions might need to include that there are in fact two mosques within close distance of each other. You need to go past the first one (which is larger) and then turn at the second. But still easy to find and the locals will help you if you ask and they don't demand money!. Nothing not to like.... Although it is probably all for security's sake, we didn't like that they didn't give us a key for the front door because we had to ring the bell every time we wanted to come in and in addition you hear the bell all over the place. We found no hanger in the bathroom but the staff promised us to equip asap. A few local not small flies were sitting on the walls but didn't beat overnight. Noise isolation of the room is not good but the place itself is silent so it will not be a big problem. That I did not have more space to fill in compliments to fit into what I liked!. Riads don't really do soundproof rooms, but that's ok - it adds to the unique feeling of being a guest in someone's house. Everything was perfect. - The bathroom didn't have any window. If you kept the windows in the bedroom closed, our room was very humid, even if you didn't use the shower. the bathrooms need extra ventilation. The description of how to find the riad could be improved, as often in Moroccan medinas, there are plenty of small streets and mosques that may be hard to distinguish. However, this is only a minor point. Everything was perfect, but given its location,inside the medina, I wouldn't recommend it to a woman solo traveller. It can be a bit sketchy to come back late at night. However someone from the personnel can come and pick you up at the closest taxi stop. Same satisfying room & food & facilities quality as other Riads we stayed at in Morocco but ~ double the cost per night. Maybe Rabat is simply more expensive than Fes & Marrakesh?. No bar on-site; the bathroom was nice, except for the shower - which was in a dark niche. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Loud by night. Room smelt a bit damp. Rather noisy, but it was ok at night. Nothing. nothing. Maybe a little bit pricy compared to other riads/dars. Bath room needs vantilation. There was vey bad smell.
