Tanjung Bungah Hotels

I am staying at the Copthorne Orchid Hotel Penang.I have an excelent room with a breath taking sea view of the beach. Its one of the best hotels in Penang, the service and staff are so friendly,and respond to all your needs. I have read other website reports,which are untrue. The food is first class,also the the amenities and facilities are of walking distance from the hotel. Georgetown, the Heritage site is just 15mins drive from the hotel. Well the rooms are run down and need a facelift but after speaking to the head manager (Vincent) at the pool area one day he said that he understands that the rooms need a good going over and he intends to start getting this done after Janurary 2010 because they are heading into the peak season around Christmas and to lose too many rooms around this time will mean that some staff may be out of work at this time, so they are going to upgrade the rooms at the slow period early 2010. This was not my first trip to G Hotel, but I was wery glad to be able to stay at the same hotel for three weeks. Location of G Hotel is good, and you have a wery nice shopping mall beside it. The atmosphe there was also a big plus! Can say thay I enjoyed every day. What I liked about it was, that there is a good gym with wery nice and polite staff. The same I can say about the hotel staff too wich where wery nice. If u stay at excecutive floor, please remember to visit the executive long - Paula

Was in Hydro Hotel with a few friends from Singapore recently and we really had a GREAT time! It was about the same distance from George Town and to Batu Feringghi, so we settle here for a nice place, with not so many peoples...it's pretty quite and nice for hang out with friends, and especially with friends who loves food as much as they love their mother :) The hotel's service was with a smile all the time and i seriously think they mgiht even have dental check once in a while..almost e - Lyndsey

We stayed at the Naza for three days and were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was quite big, spotless clean and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. We had two single beds that were cosy, not too soft not too hard either. The aircon worked fast and efficiently but was a bit on the loud side. The bathroom was neat and clean, big enough, equipped with some toiletries (but no hairdryer) and had a good shower (no bathtub). Stayed just overnight but wished we had booked for longer. we were on 22nd floor in a junior suite which also included breakfast. the staff were fantastic particularly the bell boy who just couldnt do enough to help us. although a little dated now, the rooms were very clean, bright, airy, spacious and well set out. the bed was so comfortable it was easy to become comatose in an instant! now for the breakfast. never have we experienced such a fantastic spread of food and probably never will agai - Alex
