  I am 45 years old from Boston, usa, and I came to the hotel on my own, as a mini vacation I took after a business conference in Japan. There is no other word to describe the stay in this hotel other than amazing ! Location is amazing especially during October-November due to the magnificent foliage. This hotel is not just a place you come to stay - Beautiful location in a valley with pretty river running past outside the room window. Very traditional style building and room. Amazing traditional dining experience with own private room and barbecue fire in table, whilst dressed in (mandatory!) traditional attire supplied by the hotel. A real Japanese experience!! Helpful staff one of which spoke good English, rare in such an isolated spot.
