  A hostel in Hakodate, quite far from the Hakodate Station, but close to the sea. The Ryokan has no elevator, and if your room is in the 2nd floor, you have to lift your luggage upstairs and take it downstairs yourself, and no towles, toothbrush...you have to prepare the daily stuff yourself. And the Owner there can speak little English, it's a lit... what people say » tle difficult for the foreiners. Near to LAWSON. Anyway, Nice and cheap. - The place was very clean and enough room for the 3 of us. Staff were nice. Has everything you need! Great value for the price you pay!!

  This is a perfect place, exceptional experience Japanese style. In fact it's a spa with accommodation possibility rather than a hotel, and it's great, because you don't have a huge room with hundreds capsules, but much more pleasant smaller areas of 8 or 12 of them. Especially liked that you can access spa area 24 hours from arrival, so even after... what people say » you have left the capsule (which you can occupy till 3 pm!) you can still stay at the property and access the saunas and baths. Staff speaks no Engli - I totally recommend this hotel. The people working there were really nice and kept my luggages with no problem. I was a two minutes walk away from one of the sites of the Yuki Matsuri. The hotel's beds were comfortable, with tv, radio, alarm clock and a miror, and you could use the baths and beauty products of the Spa as much as you wanted to. The capsules were cleaned everyday. For the price I paid, I thought the service was excellent.
