  This is a very fine hotel with every amenity, except coffee. There is a small train line that goes to the door. The area is Rokko Island, wiped out in the 1995 Kobe earthquake, so everything there is new. If you want to stay in an up scale hotel in Japan and don't have much cash, this is the place. You can walk to the ocean, but it's mostly container ship lo - good location if there is no need to stay downtown, only 1m walk from a metro line direct bus to Kansai airport
