  There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which have bus going to the hakodate ropeway at a sceduled timing. The front desk staff - a lady was very helpful and flexible. My friend and I were early (by abt an hr) and she gave us a room even though check in is 3pm onwards. Just walk about 2 minutes from JR Station to get there and from there it takes just a minute to the Morning Market. The room is quite old but very neat and tidy. They have a big flat screen TV, green tea, hair dryer, Yukata and Obi set for changing clothes. The staff is very nice although we get here a bit late (8pm). She helped us find a gasoline station that was opened at night (apparently most gasoline stations close at 1900hrs) and she even recommended an excellent seafood restaurant. The staff came up to our room to ask if we would like to upgrade foc to a much bigger room as we had a toddler with us. This was really impressive. Location is near to many eateries.   it's very value for money and charming for its family run business kinda feeling. the owner is very kind and can speak english pretty well. he even let us hang in the lobby because we needed to catch the overnight bus to Saporo. Most of the shop/restaurant closed at 10pm but our bus boarded at 11.30pm so we had no where to go and this really save ... what people say » our life.
