This former monastery overlooks a peaceful courtyard where the American buffet breakfast is served each morning. Hotel Ponte Sisto is in central Rome, 350 metres from Campo de’ Fiori. Rooms here are modern and elegant, with plenty of space. All air-conditioned, they include satellite TV, a minibar and free Wi-Fi. Each bathroom has a hairdryer and toiletries. This is a great hotel! The location is perfect (within walking distance) for getting to all the historic sites in Rome. Ideal for evening dining, the Trastevere area is just "across the Ponte Sisto" where a wide range of dining choices will be found. The staff of the hotel is great; they arranged all our transportation to and from the airport and cruise ship. I highly recommend this hotel!.
all reviews » The hotel is in the heart of Rome, in a walking distance of all principles monuments (less than 30 minutes walking to the vatican, to the colosseo or to the piazza del popolo). The hotel is perfect, the patio inside just very romantic, and despite a loud neighborhood, the rooms are very quiet (street side) - breakfast OK (just until 10:00 AM). The room provided was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were the most comfortable of our entire 3 week multi-city trip. The staff work to exceed your expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Evening drinks in the bar served as a great way to cap the wonderful days in Roma. We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. This hotel is very up to date, clean and very accessible.The staff was always very helpful. We had the best dinner experience all because of the great recommendation from the concierge.(wish i can remember his name.). We were given the best suite in the hotel with a balcony big enough to play cricket on - all for a regular superior room price! And they were willing to sell me two pillows because I liked them so much!. Perfect location, everything is close and you can actually walk thehistorical center from there. Since we stayed with our small dog we were able to have breakfast in our room at no extra charge.Deluxe room (no. 601) is very comfortable w/ two balconies, great view,bathtub w/ jacuzzi. The hotel bar did not seem to be open very often, although we probably would not have used it anyway - just something I noticed. This is a very good hotel but the rooms at the front of the hotel overlook bars and shops and are very noisy all night (until about 3am) and should be avoided.The inner courtyard was very pretty and I would imagine that rooms overlooking this would be very peacful.
