The staff were friendly and helpful.Good position, easy to walk to shops in town centre, and only half an hour of pleasant walk underneath the arcades of the via Settembre to the 'old port' area for the aquarium and the congress centre. We were very happy with the restaurant and restaurant staff. Also being able to change our pillows as the ones we first had were not comfortable. The restaurant there was fabulous and the staff in the restaurant were great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Good location and clean hotel. Extra fees for onsite parking.The room was too hot and there was no visible means of cooling it down. The information given to take a bus from the aiport to Piazza Brignole / and Verdi is incorrect. The bus takes 15 minutes from the airport to the Piazza Principe, and from there one needs to take another bus that takes a very beautiful scenic route to the piazza Verdi where the hotel is.The reception staff were not very friendly. No bath!. quite old. yes the bathroom could of been cleaned better and the shower head was blocked although there are two showers on the bath. The decor was a bit 80's, Cold scrabled eggs for breakfast, faint smell of tobacco smoke in places, it would have been good to have some maps and local information. The lift/elevator made strange noises. too expensive car parking. The parking isn't free. The garage was skimpy/difficult to park and drive in.At the first line there were hairs on the shelf form the previous guests. The sheets were not changed every day. The staff left my room with open door after they mistakenly delivered other guests baggage to my room. TV screen had a hole, same the table and the sinck. Staff very sad, some of them tried to smile, but with difficulties. Impossible to reach reception with the room's telephone.Staff at reception unfriendly and arrogant. Pay TV very expensive and very poor audio and picture quality, could not watch the movie that cost 15 euros. Television and its remote control. The breakfast was poor no toast, powdered scrambles eggs gresse bacon. fruit very poor. The shower was very old. There were black moldy markings all around, very low water pressure. The room had a displeasant smell. Also, they have all the hallway walls covered with carpeting, making the air very dusty.
