The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very easy to find, near to the main Santa Maria Novella railway station and about 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Florence. Breakfast was average for Italy. Air conditioned rooms were an absolute life saver!

No shower curtain, so we drenched the bathroom floor every day.

It was only a few minutes walk from the bus station and within easy walking distance of many of the main tourist sites. The staff were all friendly and very approachable, they were very helpful with any queries we had .Would recommend the Sempione to others and would certainly use it again if planning another visit to Florence.

The location is excellent.

Although the webpage says parking is 15€ extra at the weekends it's 23€. This should be made clear.

Hotel is very close to train station. Hotel staff is very friendly. Hotel room is comfortable, well decorated with nice bathroom. Wireless and excellent internet is available but at cost( 7 EUR/24 hrs).

Internet is charged for, and its tremendously expensive. Breakfast is good for italian standards, but still not the best you can find.

The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke good English (and werehappy to). The rooms were clean, an acceptable size and had a/c thatworked. It was close enough to the main attractions to walk. I wouldstay here again.

Convenient location close to all major attractions. Laundry and internet access within 200 metres. decent restaurants nearby. close to rail station though be careful about taxis as you will be overcharged. Room was really spacious - we had ordered a triple as travelling with small kids. Breakfast was decent and filling. Cleaning/breakfast staff were pleasant and lady at front counter was helpful.

Lack of free internet. Should have a shuttle or arrangement with taxis so that visitors do not get fleeced by deceptive taxi drivers.

Good access to attractions and outdoor market, breakfast was adequate.

It was 30 degrees celcius and the air conditioning did not work. We had sleepless nights due to the heat. Windows could be opened but then it was noisey. The description of the room in Bookings.com says there is internet service. In fact, there is not any internet service for guests. We were told to find an intent cafe if we wanted to use the internet.
